    摘要: An automatic light control apparatus for a vehicle comprises an external light detector for selectively turning on and turning off at least one of tail lamps, side marker lamps and head lamps of a vehicle in accordance with the detected external light. A further detector is provided for detecting the ON period of an illuminating light having a fluctuating light value (for example generated by an A.C. voltage source), and the lamps are further controlled in accordance with the detected ON period of the fluctuating light value in conjunction with the signals generated by the external light detector, for controlling the illumination of the lamps of the vehicle. A further detector may be provided for detecting an abrupt change in the illumination level, and for controlling the vehicle lamps further in accordance with the detected abrupt change.

    摘要: A light control apparatus for a vehicle is integrated with headlamp driving relays, a light sensor, a lighting switch which selects a manual mode or an automatic mode, and a control unit which controls the relays in accordance with the light sensor output when the lighting switch selects the automatic mode and turns on or off the headlamps. Two power source systems and two headlamp driving systems are provided. The signal level of a given terminal of the control unit is detected and is input to the microcomputer of the control unit. The microcomputer judges whether or not trouble has occurred by detecting a level difference. An alarm indication is given by a lamp or a buzzer if trouble is detected.

    摘要: A collision detection system for a vehicle comprising an acceleration sensor for sensing the acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle wherein the acceleration sensor is a piezoelectric sensor; signal processing circuit coupled to the piezoelectric sensor for generating a first output when the vehicle deceleration is greater than a predetermined amount. A diagnostic pulse generator is coupled to the piezoelectric sensor for applying a diagnostic pulse to the piezoelectric sensor for distorting the piezoelectric sensor, thereby causing the piezoelectric sensor to generate an electrical output. The electrical output is applied to the signal processing circuit wherein the signal processing circuit produces a second output in response thereto. The piezoelectric sensor is mounted on a pendulum such that when the vehicle accelerates or decelerates, the pendulum moves relative to the vehicle thereby distorting the piezoelectric sensor whereby the piezoelectric sensor produces an output as a function of the distortion. The piezoelectric sensor includes an electrode which is divided into a plurality of electrode segments. At least one of the electrode segments is an output electrode for providing an electrical signal as a function of the distortion of the piezoelectric sensor and at least one of the electrode segments is an input electrode for receiving an electrical signal and distorting the piezoelectric sensor in response thereto.

    摘要: There is disclosed herein a generator control system for use in a power supply system for vehicles in which a battery and an engine-driven generator are connected in parallel with a load. The total load current fed to the load is detected and the generated voltage level is changed by performing field regulation for the generator in accordance with the detected value. Switching of the generated voltage level of the generator is controlled according to the state of the load applied so as to improve power generation efficiency. Certain parameters, such as battery state, engine speed, auto choke and load state, can be provided as an input or inputs to a voltage regulator for the generator.

    摘要: An operational condition control device for an internal combustion engine is provided which operates an alarm device when the engine temperature exceeds a predetermined temperature. The operational condition control device comprises a vehicle stop sensor for detecting a stopped condition of the vehicle, a temperature sensor for detecting the engine temperature, and a drive circuit for receiving signals from the sensors and operating the alarm device when the vehicle is in the stopped condition, and the engine temperature exceeds the predetermined temperature. In another aspect of the present invention, there is provided an operational condition control device for an internal combustion engine which operates a fuel cut device when the engine temperature exceeds a predetermined temperature and the vehicle is stopped to thereby stop the engine. In still a further aspect of the present invention there is provided an operational conditional control device for an internal combustion engine which operates an alarm device and a fuel cut device when the engine temperature exceeds a predetermined temperature and the vehicle is stopped.

    摘要: The present invention aims at providing a rotation angle detector capable of detecting and storing information for a direction and an angle of rotation of steering wheel while maintaining a condition of reduced power consumption from a battery, when an engine is not running. In achieving the object, the invention discloses a structure, wherein the detector keeps a control means (8) including a memory unit (11) in a memory back-up mode when an ignition switch (7a), i.e. a main switch, is turned off, switches a power supply for sensor elements (3a), (3b) and (4) into a mode of low consumption of current, which is smaller than that of the normal current by a control signal of the control means (8), and allows the control means (8) to activate the sensor elements (3a), (3b) and (4) operative in the normal mode after a confirmation of an output signal from at least one of the sensor elements (3a) and (3b) when the steering wheel is moved, and thereby the detector is capable of detecting the direction and the angle of rotation out of the information for rotation of the steering wheel.

    摘要: In a vehicle provided with a turbine-type fuel flow meter for detecting the flow rate of fuel supplied to a carburetor of an internal combustion engine, a method for integrating the amount of fuel consumption which comprises the steps of summing the flow rate detected by the fuel flow meter at each prescribed time, comparing a quantity relating to the vehicle speed in a mean value at the prescribed time with a given reference value, selecting one from at least two prescribed correction factors based on the comparison and correcting the corresponding sum value of fuel flow rate by multiplying by the selected factor, and integrating the corrected value of fuel flow rate. With such method, error based on the moment of inertia in a runner of the fuel flow meter is substantially eliminated.
