摘要： Implantable drug delivery devices are provided lo have a deployment shape for implantation in the body and a retention shape for retention in the body. The device may have one or more elongated drug reservoirs containing a drug, mid the drug reservoir may be formed from a deformable material. In one case, a first filament is attached to the first end of the drug reservoir and second filament is attached to the second end of the drug reservoir, wherein a fastener is positioned about the first and second filaments to permit shortening and prevent lengthening of the filaments with reference to the ends of the daig reservoir, as a means for transforming the device from the implantation shape to the retention shape.

摘要： A cleaning composition is provided comprising a solvent system and at least one inorganic alkaline salt, wherein the solvent system includes at least one polyhydric alcohol. The inventive composition may also include a thickener, a corrosion-inhibition system, surfactant. The invention also provides a method of cleaning soil from a cooking related surface comprising, applying a cleaning composition to the surface, allowing the cleaning composition to remain on the surface for a period of time and removing the composition from the surface along with the soil. After application of the composition, the surface can be heated prior to removal of the composition and soil from the surface.

摘要： An air purifier (10) held in a housing (12, 14) with an ambient air inlet (16) and an air outlet (18) and defining an airflow path therethrough for treating ambient air, a filter (disposed in the airflow path and having an air permeable media for communicating air therethrough while retaining particles carried in the flow of air. A purification device attaches to an intermediate chassis in the airflow path for treating the air moved by a fan (70) into operative engagement with the purification device within the housing and out the air outlet. A controller operates the purification device by sensing an operative status of the purification device.

摘要： Unprocessed video signals from an optical scanner are processed in accordance with a transfer function which adjusts the gain of the unprocessed video to produce processed video which better represents the form of the object scanned. The transfer function is selected from a memory including a plurality of such functions by a signature signal which characterizes the entire scanner system including the optical system, the illumination system and the sensor system. The signature signal is developed from an initial value of signature which is updated by processing with the unprocessed video.

摘要： Disclosed inter alia is the use of quinazolinone derivatives, which are modulators of a mitotic kinesin such as KSP, in the treatment of cellular proliferative diseases. The quinazolinone derivatives are administered with another chemotherapeutic agent selected from alkylating agents, antimetabolites, platinating agents, topoisomerase inhibitors, tubulin agents and signalling inhibitors (e.g., kinase inhibitors). Pharmaceutical compositions comprising one or both types of active agents are also disclosed.
