    摘要: An adaptive filter concentrate flow control system and method includes a filter system, a pumping system driving feed fluid, concentrate and filtrate flowing through the filter system and a flow control system controlling the pumping system to maintain optimum filtrate flow rates along a control curve in a transmembrane pressure--feed fluid rate--filtrate flow rate three dimensional space. Actual sensed operating point data is used to locate the control curve so as to assure an optimized filtrate flow rate at which reversible blocking of the membrane has begun to occur without irreversible plugging. The system is advantageously employed to control and maximize the flow of plasma in a plasmapheresis system.

    摘要: A blood extraction and reinfusion flow control system includes a blood pump coupled to pump intravenous fluid to or from a subject, a pressure sensor coupled to sense extra veinous pressure at the subject, and a microprocessor based flow control subsystem. The flow control subsystem optimizes the flow rate by sensing pressure at at least two different fluid flow test points and extrapolating and translating the test point data to generate a flow control curve. The blood pump is then operated at a maximum speed that is limited by a desired maximum flow command and the flow control curve to maximize flow without vein collapse or damage during both blood extraction and reinfusion.

    摘要: A converter for converting a high frequency video input signal to a digital signal by detecting the peak voltages of the input signal. A video input signal fans out to a plurality of comparators of which each are connected to a resistive ladder of equal resistors values. One end of the resistive ladder is connected with a positive reference voltage and the other end is connected with a negative reference voltage. Real time is divided into sampling bins determined by the cycle time of a clock and, within each bin, the digital output from a plurality of master-slave flip-flops shows the maximum level reached by the video input signal. The outputs from the flip-flops go to a pair of priority encoders and a multiplexer for indicating in digital form the highest point reached on the resistive ladder.

    摘要: A overhead door lock which may be used with both manually operated and motor operated doors. The lock has a base adapted to be mounted on the door, and has a mounting plate and a pair of spaced apart legs. Each leg carries a slide aperture, and one leg includes a lockout hole. A striker plate is attached to the door channel in a position collinear with the base. A spring biased striker is carried by the base and when the door is manually operated, the striker is placed in an operative position where it slides freely through generally aligned slide apertures. When the door is motor operated, the striker may be placed in an inoperative lockout position by placing one end of the striker in the lockout hole. When the striker is in the inoperative lockout position, it cannot contact the striker plate when the door is in the closed position. However, the striker may be easily moved to the operative locking position by overcoming the spring bias, and moving the striker into the slide aperture and thus engageable with the striker plate to lock the door in the closed position.
