摘要: The invention relates to a method for forge welding tubulars such that formation of upsets in the welding zone is minimized which involves shaping the tubular ends that are to be welded together into an inwardly sloping configuration such that when the tubular ends are heated during the forge welding process the heated tubular ends deform as a result of thermal expansion into a substantially longitudinally oriented cylindrical shape.

摘要: Tubular ends are heated to a predetermined temperature above 1200 degrees Celsius and surrounded by a shield gas when the tubular ends are pressed together to form forge welded tubular ends. The forge welded tubular ends are then cooled down rapidly from said temperature above 1200 to at most 600 degrees Celsius within 3 minutes after the forge welding operation.

摘要: A method for interconnecting tubulars by forge welding involves arranging the tubular ends that are to be interconnected at a distance, up to a few millimeters from each other in a shield gas chamber, into which a reducing non-explosive flushing fluid mixture (e.g. N2+H2) is injected; heating each tubular end within the space by means of at least three electrodes that are pressed at circumferentially spaced intervals against the wall of each tubular, adjacent to the tubular end such that a high frequency electrical current is transmitted in a substantially circumferential direction through the tubular segments between the electrodes; and moving the thus uniformly heated tubular ends towards each other until a forge weld is formed between the heated tubular ends.

摘要: A positioning method whereby inertial positioning data is calculated based upon measurements of an Inertial Navigation System. Virtual satellite ranging data is then generated based upon the inertial positioning data. The virtual satellite ranging data is then combined with received satellite ranging data from one or more satellites forming part of a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). A GNSS positioning solution is then calculated based upon the combined received satellite ranging data and the virtual satellite ranging data.

摘要: A pipe system for transport of corrosive fluids, such as crude oil or natural gas, having a corrosion-prone tubular member, which is coated with an inner corrosion-resistant lining. The tubular member and inner lining provide a flat end in a plane orthogonal to a longitudinal axis of the tubular member, which flat end is connected to a flat end of a threaded tubular coupling member having a corrosion-resistant inner surface and screw thread. The corrosion-prone tubular member coated with the corrosion-resistant lining may be manufactured in long lengths and cut into a desired lengths whereupon each coupling member may be welded to the flat end of said tubular member and lining in a single butt welding operation.

摘要: A display module is disclosed, which comprises at least one light source movable along a predetermined path and a controller adapted to modulate the intensity of light emitted by the at least one light source as it moves along the predetermined path so as to cause a desired image to be visible by virtue of persistence of vision.
