Abstract:
A method is described. The method includes counting a number of successive information frame (I-frame) retransmissions due to a guard timer expiring. A contactless front-end (CLF) transmits the I-frame to a secure element (SE) over a single wire protocol (SWP) interface. The method also includes discontinuing I-frame retransmission when the count equals a retransmission threshold. The method further includes deactivating the SWP interface.
Abstract:
An apparatus for wirelessly transmitting charging power is provided. The apparatus comprises a transmit coil configured to generate a wireless charging field for wirelessly transmitting charging power when driven by a current. The apparatus comprises a control circuit configured to cause the transmit coil to transmit a packet via the wireless charging field, wherein the packet comprises information indicative of the presence of the wireless charging field to cause a chargeable device to electrically disconnect a communication circuit from a receive coil within the chargeable device. The control circuit is further configured to cause the transmit coil to transmit the packet periodically based on a predetermined interval. The predetermined interval has a shorter duration than a duration of a communication interval of the communication circuit. The control circuit is further configured to reduce a magnitude of a strength of the wireless charging field during packet transmission.
Abstract:
A method of communicating with a secure element (SE) is described. The method includes transmitting successive RSET frames from a single wire protocol (SWP) interface to an SE, the successive RSET frames including RSET frame retransmissions. The method also includes counting a number of successive RSET frame retransmissions due to a timer expiring. The method further includes generating a firmware interrupt in response to determining that the count has reached a threshold. The method additionally includes deactivating the SWP interface based on the firmware interrupt.
Abstract:
A method for wireless communication is described. The method includes using a routing table for multiple secure elements. The routing table assigns a preferred secure element for a transaction type. The method also includes selecting a first secure element for a transaction based on the routing table. The method further includes updating the routing table based on a received command to use a second secure element to complete the transaction.

Abstract:
A method for wireless communication by a wireless communication device is described. The method includes receiving geographic location information. The method also includes querying a geographic location tuning database for tuning parameter values corresponding with the geographic location information. The method further includes determining one or more tuning parameters to change based on the tuning parameter values. The method additionally includes adjusting an antenna for inductively coupled communication with a reader device according to the determined tuning parameters.

Abstract:
Aspects disclosed herein relate to activating a single wire protocol (SWP) interface with a circuit card. A single wire protocol (SWP) activation procedure is initiated with a circuit card. During the SWP activation procedure, an unexpected frame may be received, and a different SWP activation procedure may be initiated with the circuit card based at least in part on receiving the unexpected frame during the SWP activation procedure.
