摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless systems, a user equipment (UE) may access a network or cell using a random access (RACH) procedure. A base station may allocate dedicated RACH resources and common RACH resources for the UE to transmit a RACH preamble message on and may convey a configuration for the UE. In some cases, the UE may perform multiple transmissions of the RACH preamble message in the dedicated RACH resources, and based on the configuration may determine whether to perform a single or multiple transmissions of the RACH preamble message in the common RACH resources. The UE may transmit the messages using the same or different uplink transmit beams, and the base station may receive the messages using the same or different uplink reception beams. These multiple transmissions may reduce latency and improve reliability of the RACH procedure.

摘要: A UE may be operating in a wireless communication network having a UE-centric medium access control layer, and the UE may detect presence of a trigger event to signal a base station of the wireless communication network. The UE may identify one of a plurality of functionalities corresponding to the trigger event, and may generate a chirp signal that includes chirp purpose indicator and a chirp message, wherein the chirp purpose indicator and a format of the chirp message correspond to the identified one of the plurality of functionalities. Accordingly, the UE may transmit the chirp signal having the chirp purpose indicator to the base station, which may provide a chirp response message that includes message contents that relate to the chirp purpose indicator.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide triggers for user equipment (UE) transmissions to support uplink based mobility in a wireless communication system. According to certain aspects, a method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method generally includes receiving a configuration indicating one or more triggers for transmitting on an uplink access channel, wherein the one or more triggers comprise a first indication of mobility of the UE, determining, based at least in part on detection of one of the one or more triggers, to transmit on the uplink access channel, transmitting a signal on the uplink access channel, and receiving, in response to the transmission of the signal on the uplink access channel, a second indication of at least one of: confirmation of reception of the signal or a paging notification.

A user equipment may include aspects for transmitting the chirp signal and receiving the encoded message.

摘要: Techniques and apparatus for a control plane design for bandwidth part (BWP) in new radio (NR) are provided. One technique includes sending information with an indication of a BWP capability of a user equipment (UE) to a base station (BS). A configuration from the BS indicating a set of BWPs available to use for communication is received in response to the indication. Communications are performed on at least one of the set of BWPs. Another technique includes receiving information having an indication of a BWP capability of the UE. A configuration indicating a set of BWPs available for the UE to use for communication is determined. The configuration is sent to the UE.
