摘要: The use of non aqueous dispersions NADs has enabled the development of fast setting sheet fed inks, for example. However either due to residual monomers or fractions of initiators, these NAD's have an objectionable odor. A chemical means of dramatically reducing the odor of the NAD's is thus presented. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, such a chemical treatment can include an amine/alkali mixture in a coupling solvent. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, the coupling solvent can be one or more of an alcohol, glycol or glycol ether, such as, for example, isopropyl alcohol. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention the amine can be an alkyl amine, such as, for example, diethyl amine, or various other amines, whether alone or in combination. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, the alkali can be one or more of sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and ammonium hydroxide, whether alone or in any combination thereof.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a stable fluorocarbon emulsion having a continuous aqueous phase and discontinuous fluorocarbon phase comprising two fluorocarbons and surprisingly demonstrates that perfluorodecyl bromide is as effective in stabilizing perfluorooctyl bromide emulsions of certain concentrations than much more highly concentrated perfluorooctyl bromide/perfluorodecyl bromide emulsions without the significant problems experienced in higher concentrated emulsions such as longer organ retention times, formation of PFDB crystals, larger emulsion particles, manufacturing problems and inability of repeat dosing inherent with higher concentrations of perfluorodecyl bromide.

摘要: A power distribution system sensor and/or control device is integrated with a wireless communication device in an encapsulating weather resistant housing. The device includes a power supply that is adapted to couple to a conductor of the power distribution network to provide rectified and conditioned power as necessary to operate the distribution and/or control device and the wireless transceiver. The wireless communication device may be a low power packet data radio transceiver operating in accordance with any suitable communication standard.

摘要: Methods, systems, and products are provided for deploying Java applications in resource constrained environments. Embodiments include identifying a resource constraint of a target system and filtering the Java application in dependence upon the identified resource constraint. In many embodiments, identifying a resource constraint of a target system includes identifying limited runtime processing capabilities of the target system and filtering the Java application in dependence upon the identified resource constraint includes preprocessing a tag library of the Java application. In some embodiments, preprocessing a tag library is carried out by identifying a tag library descriptor of the Java application and copying a listener from the tag library descriptor to a deployment descriptor for the Java application.

摘要: A well plate and its supporting devices provide capabilities found in larger fermenters, such as controlling the oxygen level, the pH level, and temperature of the contents of the well. The well plate includes a plurality of wells, each of which can be independently controlled. Apertures in the wells, for example, provide access for a gas supply and sensors within each well provide data relating to, e.g., oxygen and/or pH level in the well. A control system controls the gas supply for each well based on the information provided by the sensor within the well. Similarly, temperature control elements, such as a heater or cooler, is placed in thermal contact with the interior of the well, as is a temperature measurement element. A control system can independently control the temperature of the contents of the well based on information provided by the temperature measurement element for that well.

摘要: Methods and systems for electronically representing records of obligations are provided. The records are stored such that content describing an obligation from an obligor to an obligee is unalterable, identifiable as current and authentic, and non-repudiable. Transfers of ownership of the obligation may also be controlled and recorded using the electronic records. An obligation may not be recorded as being transferred without the consent of the of the current owner of the obligation. Security interests in obligations may also be recorded. The secured party may be able to control transfer of ownership of the obligations and modification of the electronic records. In preferred embodiments, these features may be achieved by using various digital signature and encryption techniques.
