    摘要: A pluggable module actuation and retention device comprising a spring housing fastened to a printed circuit board and having openings which contain a matrix of contact springs extending from said board. A bail retaining latch is fastened to the spring housing and an actuator bail is pivotally mounted on the spring housing and has an opening which overlies the openings in the spring housing. A module to be actuated and retained has a matrix of pins corresponding to the matrix of contact springs and is provided with actuator tabs. Actuator tab mating means are provided on the spring housing for engaging the module actuator tabs when a module is inserted through the opening in the actuator bail to align the matrix of pins with the matrix of contact springs. Camming means on the actuator bail are effective when the bail is pivoted in one direction to engage the actuator tabs and slide the module to move the matrix of pins on the module into engagement with the matrix of contact springs. Arm portions on the bail are engaged by the bail retaining latch when the pins and contact springs are engaged.

    摘要: A process for encapsulating a wide variety of target materials, including both hydrophilic and hydrophobic materials, employs condensation of two reactive compounds to form shells around core phase particles including target material dispersed in a continuous phase. One of the reactive compounds has at least two active methylene functional groups per molecule, the other being an active methylene-reactive crosslinking agent. Either type of the reactive compounds can be dispersed in the continuous phase, the other being dispersible in the core phase. Applications include controlled release microencapsulation of agriculture chemicals and biocides.

    摘要: A water soluble, vinyl addition polymer of acrylamide comprising a hydrophobic terminal group is useful as an adsorbate and as a flow modifier in aqueous systems. The polymer is particularly useful as a thickening agent or rheology modifier for water based multiphase systems, a block improvement additive in water based coatings formulations, a stabilizer for aqueous emulsions (including polymer emulsions), a transfer aid in water based ink or roll coater formulations, a surfactant and a dispersant. The disclosure also comprises a solution polymerization method of preparing the polymer.

    摘要: The present invention is concerned with, as a hydrocurable composition, a mixture of an oxazolidine-functional polymer and a compound of a monomeric or polymeric character having a plurality of acryloxy groups. The first-mentioned polymer contains a plurality of pendant groups containing 2,2-dialkyl oxazolidine groups. The mixture of these two components can be stored under anhydrous conditions in a closed container without co-reaction so that a one-pot or one-package composition can be made up with many conventional ingredients of coating compositions other than aqueous components and stored without gelling until the time for application when the composition may be applied at ambient temperature and humidity whereupon reaction between the main two components mentioned above occurs in the film deposited and the film set up.

    摘要: Disclosed are inks containing compounds of the formula: ##STR1## where --R.sup.1 is --H or --CH.sub.3--R.sup.2 is an aliphatic, preferably linear hydrocarbyl, radical having 11-23 carbon atoms and containing at least one olefinic double bond, or mixtures thereof, -R.sup.2 being free of terminal double bonds, and--X-- is either (a) --OR.sup.3 O-- in which R.sup.3 is an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon residue containing from 2 to 10 carbon atoms, or (b) --O(CH.sub.2 CHR.sup.4 O).sub.n -- where R.sup.4 is --H or --CH.sub.3 and n is an integer of from 2-10, or mixtures thereof.Preferably, --X-- is --OR.sup.3 O-- wherein R.sup.3 is --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 -- or ##STR2## --R.sup.1 is --CH.sub.3, and --R.sup.2 is a mixture of hydrocarbyl moieties derived from drying oils and is at least in part polyunsaturated, and more preferably, predominantly so. The products are oxidatively curable reactive diluents of exceptionally low viscosity and low volatility which are useful for the preparation of high solids lithographic inks to reduce atmospheric pollution caused by volatile non-reactive solvents. In addition to compounds of the given formula, other esters of drying oil fatty acids with various addition-polymerizable olefinically unsaturated hydroxyl-containing compounds are disclosed. Another way of describing the preferred reactive diluents of the invention is to define them as the mixed esters of a polyol with (1) mixed material drying oil fatty acids and (2) an .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated acid.

    摘要: The present invention is concerned with novel monomers containing sulfonic acid groups or salts thereof and polymers thereof which are useful for many purposes, such as antistatic agents for textiles and other shaped articles formed of hydrophilic materials. They are useful for making copolymers that are particularly valuable in coating compositions, especially in the form of aqueous latices or organic solvent solutions thereof. Examples of the monomers are of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or lower (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl, such as methyl, A is an alkylene group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, at least 2 of which extend in one chain between the oxygen atoms, andX is an aromatic nucleus or an alkyl group, substituted by a sulfonic acid group and optionally one or more groups selected from sulfonic acid, carboxylic acid, and lower alkyl, such as methyl, ethyl, propyl, or butyl.
