    摘要: The disclosure relates to a drive system for an electric vehicle, comprising an electric motor, a traction battery for supplying the electric motor, an asynchronous machine, and a combustion engine for driving the asynchronous machine, wherein the asynchronous machine is arrange for charging the traction battery upon a control signal to extend the range of the electric vehicle. The traction battery has a plurality of a battery lines having adjustable output voltage for generating voltage progressions which are phase-shifted relative to one another, and each battery pack line is not only provided for supplying one of the phase connections of the electric motor but is also connected to a phase connection of the asynchronous machine. The disclosure further relates to a corresponding method for charging a traction battery having a plurality of battery lines by means of an asynchronous machine and a combustion engine disposed in series therewith.

    摘要: An apparatus for providing safety measures during gas release from a vehicle battery, such as a damaged lithium-ion rechargeable battery, arranged in a volume space having an opening includes at least one shroud element. The shroud element is configured to expand into the volume space by being filled with a gas such that, upon expansion of the shroud element, openings in the shroud element are enlarged and shroud element contents are discharged into the volume space through the enlarged openings in the shroud element. The apparatus further includes a device that, upon reception of a trigger signal, is configured to fill the shroud element at least partially with carbon dioxide gas such that carbon dioxide gas is discharged into the volume space as contents of the shroud element. An installation space includes the apparatus and a method is implemented to provide safety measures during gas release from the vehicle battery.

    摘要: A battery system comprises a battery which includes a plurality of battery cells connected in series and two battery poles. The battery system further comprises at least one protection device, which is connected to the battery cells in series in such a manner that after the at least one protection device is tripped, a sum of voltages of the battery cells still connected in series does not exceed a limit voltage. The battery system also comprises a switching device which electrically connects the two battery poles, the switching device being configured to short-circuit the battery when a fault signal is detected, thus tripping the at least one protection device.
