    摘要: A tunable bolometer device for detecting infrared light (IR) from a target at specific frequencies and in a broadband mode. The device may have an array of pixels of which each is controllable to be sensitive to a particular wavelength of light that is selected and detected. The detection of particular frequencies on a pixel level may result in spectral analysis of the target. Further, each pixel of the bolometer via an associated etalon may be tuned to detect a different frequency of IR or be switched to broadband detection of IR. The device may be packaged in an integrated vacuum package where the etalon array becomes the topcap which is bonded to the wafer containing the bolometer array.

    摘要: A thermal sensor structure having one level for an infrared detecting pixel including the sensor associated electronics. The electronics displace a small area thereby having little effect on the fill area of the pixel relative to a level having no pixel electronics. That level has thermally isolation for the substrate through the limited structural attachment to the substrate because of the access vias to the silicon. It has additional isolation because of a pit of removed silicon from the substrate below that one level. The thermal sensor may have an array with a large number of pixels having the one level for the pixels and electronics structure.

    摘要: An infrared imaging array of thermoelectric sensors has a plurality of electrically connected microbridge subsensors comprising each sensor of the array. Each subsensor consists of a short span microbridge lying across a relatively small pit. The use of many of such subsensors for each sensor rather than a single large area microbridge sensor for a single pixel allows each pixel to be made large enough to give good sensitivity in either vacuum or gas-filled designs, and at the same time avoid the reduced fabrication yield which results when sensors span large pits.

    摘要: A waterless power generator, particularly a waterless electrical power generator and a passively controlled process for producing electricity with a fuel cell using stoichiometric amounts of a solid hydrogen fuel and byproduct water vapor produced by the fuel cell to generate hydrogen gas. A fuel cell reaction of hydrogen and oxygen produces electrical energy as well as by-product water which diffuses back into the power generator as water vapor to react with the hydrogen fuel, producing more hydrogen gas. This generated hydrogen gas is then used as a fuel which allows the fuel cell to generate additional electrical power and additional water. The process runs without any attached water source or water supply other than the water which is produced by the fuel cells themselves.

    摘要: An improved system for generating electrical power using a fuel cell. More particularly, a system for generating hydrogen gas by reacting water vapor with a substantially non-fluid substance and transporting the generated hydrogen gas to the fuel cell which generates electrical power. Reacting water vapor with the non-fluid hydrogen generating substance rather than liquid water prevents caking of the non-fluid substance and deposition of byproducts onto the non-fluid substance that interfere with continued generation of hydrogen gas. Also, a non-electrically actuated valve for use in a hydrogen gas generating apparatus which regulates the generation of hydrogen as required by the fuel cell.
