摘要:
There is provided an enzymatic method of rapid quantitative assay for 1,5-anhydroglucitol which is also applicable to an automated analysis device. The enzymatic method of quantitative assay for 1,5-anhydroglucitol is characterized by using a pyranose oxidase derived from Basidiomycetous fungi No. 52 as a pyranose oxidase. According to the assaying method of the present invention, assay for 1,5-anhydroglucitol in a specimen can be performed using an automated analysis device, results in rapid assay and improved accuracy.
摘要:
There is provided a method of quantitative assay for 1,5-anhydroglucitol in a specimen characterized by effectively removing maltose present in the specimen using .alpha.-glucosidase. Maltose present in a specimen is previously converted into glucose by the action of .alpha.-glucosidase derived from a microorganism belonging to the genus Bacillus to remove the affect by maltose. Then 1,5-anhydroglucitol in the specimen is quantitatively determined.
摘要:
A quantitative assay for 1,5-anhydroglucitol in a specimen is described. This assay comprises treating a specimen with a phosphorylating enzyme in the presence of 5 to 500 mM adenosine-5'-triphosphate in a pH range of 7.2 to 8.5, to selectively eliminate sugars other than 1,5-anhydroglucitol, and reacting the product of this reaction, without removing the residual ATP, with pyranose oxidase in the above pH range. This assay is quite rapid and suitable for performance using an automated device.

There is provided a method for determination of direct bilirubin which comprises the steps of contacting a bilirubin oxidase with a sample suspected of containing bilirubin; and, measuring direct bilirubin in the sample by optical changes of the sample, characterized in that bilirubin oxidase is allowed to act in the presence of a indirect bilirubin reaction inhibitor selected from a thiocyanate ion, a hydrazide, reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate and a potassium ion of 100 mM to 800 mM. By completely avoiding interference of indirect bilirubin, direct bilirubin is selectively and precisely determined using a reagent kit in the form of solution. The method and reagent of the invention are safe and free of environmental pollution due to unnecessary waste liquid treatment.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a fuel cell electrolyte membrane reinforced with a porous substrate which has excellent durability and in which the amount of cross leakage as a result of chemical deterioration of electrolyte membrane components due to the presence of peroxide and/or radicals is particularly reduced. The present invention relates to an electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell comprising a polyelectrolyte, which contains a porous substrate and a radical scavenger dispersed in the polyelectrolyte.

The present invention provides a reinforced electrolyte membrane for fuel cell comprising a porous substrate impregnated with a polyelectrolyte liquid dispersion, wherein either the maximum tensile strength in the machine direction (for sheet processing) (MD) or the maximum tensile strength in the transverse direction (TD; vertical to the MD direction) for the electrolyte membrane is 70 N/mm2 or more at 23° C. at a relative humidity of 50% or 40 N/mm2 or more at 80° C. at a relative humidity of 90%. This reinforced electrolyte membrane for fuel cell, in which the amount of fluorine ions eluted as a result of deterioration of electrolyte membrane components in particular is reduced, has excellent durability.

According to the present invention, there are provided a monoclonal antibody to prostate-derived acid phosphatase and a method for determination of prostate-derived acid phosphatase using the monoclonal antibody. Prostate-derived acid phosphatase is boostered in animal and spleen cells isolated from the animal are fused with myeloma cells. The hybridoma capable of producing a monoclonal antibody having extremely high specificity to prostate-derived acid phosphatase is subjected to cloning. Using the monoclonal antibody produced by the hybridoma, prostate-derived acid phosphatase in a sample can be detected with extremely high sensitivity.

Novel N.sup.G -protected or unprotected-L-argininal-dibutyl acetals (I) can be prepared from L-argininal derivatives (III) merely by reacting in an azeotropic solvent in the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid. In the products (I), L-form amounts to more than 99%, without further optical resolution. The L-argininal acetals (I) are useful as starting materials for preparing peptidyl-L-argininal derivatives which can provide protease inhibitors or ligands used for affinity chromatography of various proteases.
