Abstract: An interconnect system includes various anti-backout latches that are movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. When in the engaged position, the anti-backout latches can be configured to prevent an interconnect module, such as an optical transceiver, from becoming unmated from a host module. When in the disengaged position, the anti-backout latches permit the interconnect module to become unmated from a host module. Securement members are also disclosed that secure a heat sink to a module housing of the interconnect module.

Abstract: A transceiver for a two-connector system includes a circuit board, at least one cable attached to the circuit board, and a housing arranged to contain the circuit board. The two-connector system includes a front connector and a back connector. When the transceiver is connected to the two-connector system, a front edge of the circuit board is arranged to engage with the front connector and an intermediate portion of the circuit board is arranged to engage with the back connector.

Abstract: A plug housing preferably includes an upper housing and a lower housing defining a cavity and a latch portion arranged to be pivotable about the plug housing and including a pair of actuator beams. Respective ones of the pair of actuator beams are preferably arranged to be directly opposed to respective side surfaces of the plug housing. The latch portion is preferably arranged to be connected to the upper housing and the lower housing through a pair of projection portions or a pair of pivot holes arranged on opposite ones of the pair of actuator beams of the latch portion. The latch portion is preferably pivotable about the plug housing at a position corresponding to the pair of projection portions or the pair of pivot holes. The latch preferably includes a catch mechanism and a spring mechanism connected to a forward plate without contacting the pair of actuator beams.

Abstract: An electrical contact for an electrical connector includes a body having a mounting end and a mating end, a contact beam, and an anchoring region. The contact beam includes first and second edges that are laterally spaced from one another, and first and second broadsides that extend between the first and second edges. The anchoring region includes first, second, and intermediate portions. The first portion extends from the contact beam towards the mounting end, and has a first side that is spaced laterally outwards from the first edge. Abstract: A connector includes a connector body, a plurality of wafers arranged within the connector body, and a weld tab defined by a unitary member that includes a plurality of weld tab legs and a plurality of weld tab arms.
