Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to reduce the influence of pump ripple and to achieve fast control of cuff pressure with a general purpose magnetic valve when continuously measuring blood pressure. A blood pressure meter 1 includes a pump 11, a cuff 12 to be mounted on the site of blood pressure measurement of a subject, a first valve 13, a first pressure sensor 14, a detection sensor 18, a second valve 23, and a second pressure sensor 24. The blood pressure meter 1 also includes a valve opening adjustment unit 42 and a blood pressure measurement unit 43. The first valve 13 adjusts discharge volume of the pump 11 and the second valve 23 adjusts cuff pressure inside the cuff 12. The first pressure sensor 14 detects the discharge pressure of the pump 11, the second pressure sensor 24 detects the cuff pressure, and the detection sensor 18 detects the amount of light associated with the volume of the artery at the site of blood pressure measurement of the subject. The valve opening adjustment unit 42 acquires the discharge pressure, the cuff pressure, and the amount of light, and adjusts the openings of the first valve 13 and the second valve 23. The blood pressure measurement unit 43 measures the blood pressure of the subject on the basis of the cuff pressure.

Abstract: A pulse signal generator circuit generates first and second pulse signals for electrodes placed on the chest of a subject with phases that differ by 180°. A rectifier circuit receives a potential difference signal, which reflects an impedance between the electrodes that changes according to respiratory motion and in which timing of changes caused by changes in the first pulse signal or the second pulse signal is delayed from the timing of the changes in the first pulse signal and the second pulse signal, and outputs a rectified signal produced by rectifying the potential difference signal. A control signal generator circuit causes the rectifier circuit to invert the potential difference signal, which becomes a negative voltage value from the certain timing, to a positive voltage value from the certain timing. An AD converter circuit outputs a digital value based on the magnitude of the rectified signal.

Abstract: An A/D converter includes a capacitor DAC, a resistor DAC, a first capacitive element, and a comparator. The capacitor DAC is configured to convert high-order M bits, where M and N are integers equal to or greater than 2, and the resistor DAC is configured to convert low-order N bits. The first capacitive element is provided between the capacitor DAC and the resistor DAC, and the comparator is configured to compare an input signal voltage with a voltage output from the capacitor DAC. The resistor DAC generates and outputs a voltage by adding or subtracting a wait based on redundant bits in addition to N-bit resolution.

Abstract: An acquisition circuit obtains an electrocardiogram waveform on which a pulse signal of a pacemaker is superimposed. A detector circuit performs a filtering process on the electrocardiogram waveform at a cutoff frequency that is determined according to a control signal, and detects a pulse signal on the basis of the result of the filtering process. A control circuit detects, a plurality of times, an occurrence start time of a QRS complex from the electrocardiogram waveform obtained by the acquisition circuit, and detects a QRS duration, and then determines a predicted occurrence start time of the next QRS complex on the basis of the detected occurrence start times of the QRS complexes, and supplies, to the detector circuit, a control signal for instructing to increase the cutoff frequency from a first value to a second value during a period based on the QRS duration from the predicted occurrence start time.
