A semiconductor device includes a stack structure on a substrate, the stack structure including interlayer insulating layers and first gate electrodes alternately stacked on each other, a semiconductor layer in an opening penetrating through the stack structure, a first dielectric layer between the semiconductor layer and the stack structure, and a lower pattern closer to the substrate than to the first gate electrodes in the stack structure, the lower pattern including a first surface facing the first dielectric layer, and a second surface facing the stack structure, the second surface defining an acute angle with the first surface, wherein the first dielectric layer includes a first portion facing the stack structure, and a second portion facing the first surface of the lower pattern, the second portion having a thickness greater than a thickness of the first portion.

Disclosed herein are a photoacoustic imaging apparatus to project a continuous-wave laser beam onto an object to generate a photoacoustic image, and a method of controlling the same.The photoacoustic imaging apparatus include a laser source to generate a continuous-wave (CW) laser beam, a deflection mirror to reflect the CW laser beam to the object while rotating, a transducer to collect acoustic waves generated in the object by the CW laser beam, and an image processor to generate a photoacoustic image based on the collected acoustic waves.

An appliance for dehumidification, with a body having an inflow unit and an outflow unit; a heat-exchanging apparatus to condense vapor in the air; a fan to forcedly move the air; a tray to collect condensation water descending from a cooling apparatus; a water container detachably provided at an upper portion of the body to store the condensation water; a pump to pump the condensation water from the tray to the water container; and a drain pipe to guide the condensation water from the pump to the water container. The water container may be easily separated from the appliance to empty the water container when the water container is full, and then the water container may be easily mounted again.

A diffuser capable of reducing noise generated due to a flow of cool air when the cool air is discharged from a supply duct configured to supply cool air generated from a body provided at outdoors to the indoors at a high speed as the diffuser is coupled to the supply duct, and an air conditioner having the same are provided. The air conditioner includes a body provided outdoors to generate cool air, a supply duct having one side connected to the body and the other end connected to indoors such that the cool air generated from the body is supplied to the indoors, and a diffuser coupled to the other side of the supply duct to reduce noise generated due to a flow of cool air being discharged to the indoors, wherein the diffuser includes a coupling part coupled to the supply duct, an extension part extending from the coupling part while having a taper shape such that cool air supplied through the supply duct is guided to the indoors, a mesh provided to surround an outer side of the extension part, and a housing accommodating the coupling part and the extension part, and having an opening configured to discharge the cool air supplied to the extension part to the indoors.

Disclosed herein are an ultrasonic imaging apparatus which is capable of accurately and quickly estimating a Point Spread Function (PSF) is usable for restoring ultrasonic images, and a control method which is executable by the ultrasonic imaging apparatus. The ultrasonic imaging apparatus includes: a probe; a receive beamformer configured to beamform an ultrasonic signal and to output the beamformed ultrasonic signal; a Point Spread Function (PSF) database configured to store a PSF which is acquired based on a situational variable, and a phase parameter which is determined based on the situational variable, for the beamformed ultrasonic signal; and an image generator configured to select the PSF and the phase parameter from the PSF database based on the beamformed ultrasonic signal, and to perform deconvolution using an estimated PSF based on the selected PSF and the selected phase parameter in order to generate an image.

A method for fabricating a semiconductor device, the method including forming a mold structure on a substrate such that the mold structure includes alternately and repeatedly stacked interlayer insulating films and sacrificial films; forming a channel hole passing through the mold structure; forming a vertical channel structure within the channel hole; exposing a surface of the interlayer insulating films by removing the sacrificial films; forming an aluminum oxide film along a surface of the interlayer insulating films; forming a continuous film on the aluminum oxide film; and nitriding the continuous film to form a TiN film.
