摘要: The present invention provides improved relay equipment including at least one port, through which packet transfer is executable, an information-containing unit containing target-to-be-used information and availability information, in which the target-to-be-used information distinguishes the at least one port between a target port for use in the packet transfer and a non-target port therefor, but the availability information distinguishes the at least one port between an usable port for use in the packet transfer and an unusable port therefor, a determining unit operable to determine an available port for use in the packet transfer from the at least one port in accordance with the target-to-be-used information and the availability information, and a relaying unit operable to execute the packet transfer through the available port. The improved relay equipment according to the present invention allows for the transfer of only packets having a communication rate equal or smaller than a bandwidth of each transmission link, and packet transfer without packet delay and without packet discard is achievable.

摘要: A resource request is continuously accepted within predetermined time by a resource management device that comprises a resource request accepting unit, a measuring unit, and an allocating unit. The resource request accepting unit accepts a resource request that is necessary for communication. The resource request includes priority of communication. The measuring unit measures the accepting time when the resource request accepting unit accepts the resource request. The allocating unit allocates resource to the resource request accepted in accepting time based on priority. As a result, suitable resource allocation according to the priority instead of the order of arrival is realized.

摘要: The present invention introduces a plurality of resource management devices (M1)-(M4). Each resource management device comprises a resource reservation information transmitting unit (205) and a resource reservation information receiving unit (206). Thus, even when one of the resource management devices is inactivated, the resource management can be continued. Since reserved resource information is shared among a plurality of resource management devices, if exist, the resource management can be performed without contradiction. Processing load can be decentralized by processing a resource reservation request by the plurality of resource management devices.

摘要: The present invention includes a repeater and a server for controlling access, from a terminal of an outside network, to the server of an inside network. The repeater and the server permit a packet transmission from the terminal to the server under limited conditions. When the server acknowledges a connection for the permitted packet, transmission conditions for packets to be sent to the server are loosened. Subsequently, packet transmission between the terminal and the server is controlled under the loosened transmission conditions. As for encrypted packets, the server decodes the encrypted packets and notifies the repeater of relevant information.

摘要: A terminal comprises a packet receiving unit, a packet sending unit, a link-state detecting unit that detects a link-up to a switching device, a configuration-change notifying unit, and a resource reservation table. When the link-state detecting unit detects a link-up, the terminal notifies network configuration information and network resource reservation information to a management device. When a link state is changed, the management device can immediately manage the network based on the latest network configuration information and the latest network resource information.

摘要: A communication system includes communication protocols that allow a single network or multiple neighboring networks to increase resource sharing and reduce mutual interference and increase their overall throughput. Various protocols apply to homogenous networks in which all power line communication (PLC) devices of multiple networks are interoperable with respect to full power line communication in a common PHY (specifications, signaling capabilities, modulation scheme, coding scheme, bandwidth, etc.) and to heterogeneous networks in which devices of some PLC networks are not interoperable with PLC devices of other PLC networks with respect to full power line communication given that the devices of the different networks do not employ a common PHY. With respect to heterogeneous networks, a protocol is provided to enable coexistence via a signaling scheme common to all of the devices of the network that allows resource sharing between the devices of the multiple heterogeneous networks. Homogeneous networks are those in which all nodes can communicate with each other using a common PHY, so that information about one PLC network can be transferred to another PLC network. Heterogeneous networks are those in which not all PLC networks can exchange information using their own native PHY, such as where users in different apartments or houses use different devices having different specifications, different signaling capabilities, modulation scheme, coding scheme, bandwidth and the like.

摘要: A method of solidifying a radioactive waste of an atomic power plant, for example, begins with concentrating the liquid waste to powder or pellet form to reduce its volume. Prior to reducing its volume, an estimation is made of what the concentration will be once the liquid waste is converted into powdered or pelletized form. The powdered or pelletized waste is charged into a container, and a solidifying agent is poured over the contents to form a solidified body. The solidifying agent is prepared to have a desired coefficient of distribution that is determined in accordance with the estimated concentration of the reduced volume solidified waste so that the amount of leaching of the solidified body that is produced will be less than or equal to a predetermined value, such as the known value of leaching for a conventional cement-solidified waste that is not processed to reduce its volume before being solidified.
