摘要: An exhaust purification apparatus for an engine comprises an upstream casing that has a cylindrical shape and accommodates a particulate filter; an exhaust gas outlet that is formed in a side wall of the upstream casing and discharges the exhaust gas that has passed through the particulate filter; a urea-water injector that is fixed to the upstream casing located in a position opposite to the exhaust gas outlet and injects urea-water toward the exhaust gas outlet; and a downstream casing that accommodates an ammonia selective reduction-type NOx catalyst into which the exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust gas outlet flows.

摘要: An ammonia selective reduction-type NOx catalyst (48) is interposed in an exhaust passage of an engine (2) provided in a series-type hybrid electric vehicle (1), and a urea water injector (52) is disposed in the exhaust passage to supply a urea water into exhaust gas existing upstream of the ammonia selective reduction-type NOx catalyst (48). The engine (2) is started and stopped in accordance with the storage state of a battery (8), and the urea water injector (52) is controlled in accordance with the operating state of the engine (2). When the engine (2) is to be stopped, an adsorption increasing operation for increasing the amount of ammonia adsorbed by the ammonia selective reduction-type NOx catalyst (48) is executed over a predetermined period before the engine (2) is stopped.

摘要: An exhaust purification apparatus comprises an ammonia selective reduction-type NOx catalyst that selectively reduces NOx within exhaust gas by using ammonia as a reducing agent, a urea-water supply device that supplies urea-water into the exhaust gas existing upstream of the ammonia selective reduction-type NOx catalyst, and a control unit. The control unit controls the urea-water supply device so that the urea-water is intermittently supplied according to predetermined supply duration time and predetermined supply suspension time when the urea-water is supplied from the urea-water supply device for the purpose of providing ammonia to the ammonia selective reduction-type NOx catalyst.

摘要: An ammonia selective reduction-type NOx catalyst (48) is interposed in an exhaust passage of an engine (2) installed in a series-type hybrid electric vehicle (1), and a urea-water injector (62) for supplying urea water in the upstream side of the ammonia selective reduction-type NOx catalyst (48) is placed in the exhaust passage. The engine (2) started in response to a storage state of a battery (8) is operated in a first operation mode, and urea water supply is suspended, until exhaust temperature reaches predetermined temperature (Ta). Once the exhaust temperature reaches the predetermined temperature (Ta), the engine (2) is operated in a second operation mode, and urea water is supplied from the urea-water injector (62). While the engine (2) is operated in the first operation mode, NOx emissions from the engine (2) are more decreased than in the second operation mode.

摘要: An agitating device for agitating the exhaust gas of an engine includes a base plate having a plurality of through holes that are defined by radially extending spoke portions and a ring-like rim portion and are arranged in a circular pattern in a circumferential direction of the base plate, and a plurality of fins expanding from the respective spokes on a slant with respect to the base plate. The base plate is fixed in the exhaust passage by the rim portion being jointed to the exhaust passage at welded portions. The welded portions are each disposed in an area between respective two adjacent spoke portions in the circumferential direction of the base plate, and an outer edge of the rim portion positioned on the outer side of the rim portion in extending directions of the spoke portions is located next to the exhaust passage with a gap provided therebetween.

A vane plate (18) and an aqueous urea solution spray nozzle (19) are arranged inside the tapering part (13a). The ratio (a/b) of the distance (a) between the vane plate (18) and the center of the waist part (13b) and the distance (b) between the center of the waist part (13b) and the mouth of the NOx catalyst (16) is set between 0.5 and 1.0.
