摘要： An apparatus collects information stored in a host computer through a network. A correspondence acquirement unit acquires a correspondence between an information identifier of requested information and host identifiers of a plurality of host computers each of which stores the requested information. A first decision unit decides at least one host computer to retrieve the requested information by referring to the correspondence. A second decision unit decides a retrieval method used for each host computer decided by the first decision unit from a plurality of retrieval methods. A retrieval unit indicates retrieval of the requested information based on the retrieval method decided by the second decision unit and each host computer decided by the first decision unit.

摘要： An instance selecting apparatus stores a plurality of instances each of which includes an item name and an item value. The item name denotes the name of an item, whereas the item value denotes the value of the item. When having received a meta information that includes an item name and an item value, the instance selecting apparatus calculates, for each of the instances, a relevance degree showing a relationship between the instance and the meta information, by applying a weighting coefficient to a level of similarity between the meta information and at least one of the item name and the item value of the instance. The instance selecting apparatus then selects one or more of the instances having a higher level of relevance with the meta information, based on the relevance degrees.

摘要： According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus extracts utterance information of at least one user who utilizes a network community from a server. The information processing apparatus includes a measurement unit, an estimation unit, an extraction unit, and a display unit. The measurement unit is configured to measure a present location and an acceleration representing a rate of a specific user's move. The estimation unit is configured to estimate a moving status of the specific user based on the acceleration, and to estimate a line information which the specific user is presently utilizing or will utilize based on the present location and the moving status. The extraction unit is configured to extract at least one utterance information related to the line information from the server. The display unit is configured to display the utterance information extracted.

摘要： A connection electrode that is formed of solder on an electronic component side and a tip portion of an elastic contact each other at a contact portion. Regarding the elastic contact, a resistive layer is formed in the tip portion, and the tip portion is placed in a clearance of an induction coil. When a predetermined high-frequency current is passed through the induction coil, electromagnetic induction causes the resistive layer to generate heat. Solder that forms the connection electrode is melt, and flows onto the tip portion of the elastic contact. Thus, the tip portion of the elastic contact and the connection electrode can be strongly bonded together at the contact portion that is a single point therebetween.
