摘要: A method for optimizing a knee arthroplasty surgical procedure includes receiving pre-operative data comprising (i) anatomical measurements of the patient, (ii) soft tissue measurements of the patient's anatomy, and (iii) implant parameters identifying an implant to be used in the knee arthroplasty surgical procedure. An equation set is selected from a plurality of pre-generated equation sets based on the pre-operative data. During the knee arthroplasty surgical procedure, patient-specific kinetic and kinematic response values are generated and displayed using an optimization process. The optimization process includes collecting intraoperative data from one or more surgical tools of a computer-assisted surgical system, and using the intraoperative data and the pre-operative data to solve the equation set, thereby yielding the patient-specific kinetic and kinematic response values. A visualization is then provided of the patient-specific kinetic and kinematic response values on the displays.

摘要: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for determining and placing a first bony segment in relation with a second bony segment, both segments belonging to the same bone, including cutting said bone partially, to separate it into the first and second bony segment. The two bony segments are linked together by a bony hinge and placing the two boney segments in relation to each other may include distracting both bony segments around said hinge. The hinge may be configured to allow distraction of both bony segments around a single degree of freedom of the hinge and accommodate corrections in two substantially orthogonal planes.

摘要: Systems and methods for performing an osteotomy with robotic assistance are disclosed. The disclosed systems and methods includes receiving a three-dimensional model of a patient bone, receiving a surgical plan, determining, based on the three-dimensional model and the surgical plan, one or more corrective cuts to be made to the patient bone, and performing, using a tracked end effector interfaced to a robotic arm, the one or more corrective cuts. A surgeon may utilize software, tracking, robotics, and the like to plan and execute bone resection in complex and/or intricate shapes not previously possible.

摘要: Methods, non-transitory computer readable media, surgical tracking devices, and systems that facilitate improved tracking in surgical environments are disclosed. With this technology, a fiber optic shape sensing (FOSS) device is rigidly attached to patient anatomy and/or surgical instrument(s) to facilitate location and/or flexibility tracking. The data provided by the FOSS device can be analyzed and registered to preoperative or intraoperative 3D anatomy model(s). The FOSS device can be attached to a surgical instrument to provide intraoperative guidance, used to locate a hollow needle for tracking bones in a minimally invasive manner, and/or used to detect bending in an instrument such as an arthroscope or tissue removing burr shaft, for example. The tracked location and/or flexibility data provided by the FOSS device can also be used to automatically control the location and/or operation of a surgical instrument during a surgical proceeding to facilitate improved surgical accuracy and patient outcomes.

摘要: A tissue repair assembly is disclosed, including a soft anchor body and at 5 least a first suture operably coupled to the anchor body. Tensioning on first and/or second ends of first suture may deploy the anchor body to a second configuration, in which the anchor body is axially compressed and radially extended. The tissue repair assembly may also include a means to cinch around a portion of a first and/or second suture and knotlessly lock the tissue repair assembly. Some embodiments 10 may include a pre-formed knot. In some embodiments, the preformed knot may be a nail knot, provided wrapped around an insertion instrument and configured to receive and cinch around a suture extending therethrough.
