摘要: A method for operating a gas generation device, for example, for a fuel cell system, having at least two gas generation units through which a starting-material stream flows in series. The two gas generating units have a first and second rated power Prated—1, Prated—2 and a first and second predetermined operating temperature Trated—1, Trated—2, and the first gas generation unit has a lower thermal mass than the second gas generation unit. During a starting phase only the first gas generation unit is operated, with a power Pstart—1>Prated—1. After the end of the starting phase at least the second gas generation unit is operated.

摘要: The invention relates to a device for determining at least one parameter of at least one medium, said medium being introducible into at least one measuring path. An electric and/or electromagnetic field can be partially coupled into or out of the medium by passing at least one electric and/or electromagnetic signal into the measuring path. The measuring path comprises at least one line arrangement having at least two elementary cells arranged along the measuring path, said elementary cells comprising at least one electric path from at least one input to at least one output and comprising at least one respective capacitative element. The electrical properties of the capacitative element can by be modified by the medium. The electric and/or the electromagnetic signal can be applied to the input of a first elementary cell and the output of the first elementary cell can be connected to the input of a second elementary cell. The capacitative element of the respective elementary cell is arranged in the electric path of the first and second elementary cell. At least one inductive element connects the first elementary cell and the second elementary cell to a ground. The invention also relates to a method for determining a parameter of a medium.

摘要: A method for periodically reactivating copper-containing catalyst material includes applying an oxygen-containing gas stream to the catalyst material for reactivation purposes. When the reactor is in the warm operating state, the application of the oxygen-containing gas stream to the catalyst material is interrupted when the monitored temperature of the catalyst material exceeds a maximum level which is a predeterminable tolerance level above a predetermined operating temperature. In cold-start phases, initially a mixture of a fuel and an oxygen-containing gas stream is fed to the catalyst material, until the monitored temperature of the catalyst material exceeds a predeterminable switch-over level, after which only the oxygen-containing gas stream is supplied. To keep the reactor warm after operation has ended, the reactivation can be activated each time the temperature falls below a further threshold level.

摘要: A process for operating a methanol reforming system in which, in the reforming reaction operation, methanol is reformed in a methanol reforming reactor using a methanol reforming catalyst. The reforming reaction operation is interrupted periodically for catalyst reactivation phases during which the methanol reforming catalyst whose catalytic activity decreases in the reforming reaction operation is treated in an activity-regenerating manner. The process may be used in fuel-cell-driven motor vehicles for generating hydrogen for the fuel cells from methanol carried along in the liquid state.
