Abstract: An all-solid-state battery includes a positive electrode layer, a solid electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode layer. The solid electrolyte layer separates the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer. The negative electrode layer includes a first layer and a second layer. The second layer is interposed between the solid electrolyte layer and the first layer. The first layer contains a first particle group. The second layer contains a second particle group. The first particle group and the second particle group contain a silicon material. The second particle group has a smaller average particle diameter than the first particle group.

Abstract: A method for generating smoke in a cell pack by which a very small amount of smoke can be generated from a specific single unit cell among unit cells constituting the cell pack. The method causes smoke generation in a cell pack in which unit cells are connected and which includes a positive electrode output terminal for electrically connecting the positive electrode terminal of the unit cell and an external device, and a negative electrode output terminal for electrically connecting the negative electrode terminal of the unit cell and an external device. By attaching a heating means to the negative electrode output terminal, the electrode body of a specific single unit cell is heated through the negative electrode output terminal to which the heating means is attached. As a result, it is possible to cause the generation of a small amount of smoke from the specific single unit cell.

Abstract: According to one aspect of the present invention, a short circuit inspection method for an all solid battery assembly is provided which includes: a step of preparing an all-solid-state battery assembly; a step of preparing a restraint jig including a pair of restraint plates sandwiching the all-solid-state battery assembly in the thickness direction, and a restraint member including a bolt and a nut, wherein where a smallest thermal expansion coefficient among the thermal expansion coefficient of the positive electrode current collector and the thermal expansion coefficient of the negative electrode current collector of the all-solid-state battery assembly is denoted by α1, the thermal expansion coefficients of the bolt and the nut are each equal to or greater than α1; a step of restraining the all-solid-state battery assembly; a step of increasing the resistance of the all-solid-state battery assembly by cooling; a step of applying a voltage to the all-solid-state battery assembly and measuring a current; and a step of determining whether or not a short circuit has occurred in the all-solid-state battery assembly on the basis of the measured current value.

Then, in the assembled battery, none of the single cells included in each of the single cell array units is directly electrically connected to adjacent single cells in the same unit, but is directly electrically connected to any one of the single cells constituting another single cell array unit through a bus bar.

Abstract: A main object of the present disclosure is to provide a method for testing an all solid state battery with which the presence of short circuit or the presence of defect causing short circuit can be detected with high accuracy by a comparatively simple method in which a voltage is applied to a battery and the current value thereof is measured. The present disclosure achieves the object by providing a method for testing an all solid state battery, the method comprising steps of: a resistance increasing step of increasing resistance of an all solid state battery to 3.2*105 Ω·cm2 or more; a voltage applying step of applying voltage to an all solid state battery of which the resistance is increased; and a judging step of judging acceptability of the all solid state battery based on a current value measured in the voltage applying step.
