摘要: In a mounting method for mounting a bump-equipped electronic component 5 with a plurality of metallic bumps 6 on a substrate 2 with a plurality of electrodes 3, during the process of connecting the metallic bumps 6 to the electrodes 3 by aligning the metallic bumps with the electrodes 3 with thermosetting resin 4 intervening between the electronic component 5 and substrate 2 and by pressing the electronic component 5 to the substrate 2 while exerting ultrasonic oscillation, heat and applied pressure on the electronic component 5, all of the metallic bumps 6 are brought into contact with the electrodes so that they are electrically connected to each other, and when some of the metallic bumps are metallic-bonded to the electrodes, ultrasonic oscillation is stopped. Thus, it is possible to prevent occurrence of damage owing to the excessive exertion of ultrasonic oscillation on the metallic bumps which have precedently started their metallic-bonding.

摘要: In a bonding tool which bonds a component to a substrate by urging and vibration, a through hole is formed in the horn. An adhesion section is fit into a lower section of the hole and an engaging section is fit into an upper section of the hole, so that a sealed inner space is formed inside the hole by tightening an outer screw. An adhesion hole open to a bonding section communicates with a sucking hole of the horn via the inner space, so that a simply structured vacuum-adhesion-system can be formed. These mechanics do not lose replaceablility of the adhesion section detachable to the horn. As a result, the adhesion section can be replaceable as an independent part (urging terminal), and a bonding apparatus as well as a bonding tool having the simply structured vacuum-adhesion-system can be provided.

摘要: To provide an optical disk drive having an enhanced replaying capability in case of an abnormality occurring in various kinds of synchronization of the optical disk drive or in replay of a defective sector. A frame synchronization counter value address translation decoder, low order ID address translation decoder, adder/subtracter, high order ID address translation decoder, and adder are used to translate information read from an optical disk medium into an absolute storage address in a storage medium, and thus data that is highly replayed can be stored in the storage medium.

摘要: A control device for a toroidal type continuously variable transmission is provided which controls the speed ratio of the toroidal type continuously variable transmission depending upon a current throttle opening and a current vehicle speed. This transmission includes an input disc and an output disc having mutually facing toroidal faces with oil films formed thereon, and a friction roller disposed between the input disc and the output disc to effect power transmission therebetween such that the speed ratio is changed by controlling an angle of inclination of the friction roller. The control device of the invention determines a temperature of the oil films, and sets at least one of an upper limit and a lower limit of the angle of inclination based on the determined temperature of the oil films, so that the speed ratio is controlled within the range of the angle of inclination set by the control device.

摘要: In an optical pickup, an optical guide member is provided in an optical path of light from a light source, and has a plurality of inclined surfaces inclined with respect to a light beam emitted from the light source. A light-receiving element is provided for receiving light and for converting the received light into an electrical signal. The optical guide member and the light-receiving element are contained in a packaging member. The light beam from the light source is reflected by the plurality of inclined surfaces of the optical guide member, and then are directed to a recording medium. The reflected light from the recording medium is directed to the light-receiving element. At least one of dry air and inert gas such as nitrogen gas is charged in the interior of the packaging member at a pressure of 0.5 atm to 1.5 atm, thereby preventing the optical characteristics from being degraded.
