    摘要: An engine includes an engine body and an air induction system. The engine body includes a cylinder block defining a cylinder bore in which a piston reciprocates. A cylinder head member closes an end of the cylinder bore to define a combustion chamber together with the cylinder bore and the piston. The air induction system is arranged to introduce air into the combustion chamber. The induction system includes a first intake conduit through which the air flows to the combustion chamber. A first plenum chamber unit is disposed upstream of the first intake conduit. A control mechanism is arranged to control an amount of the air flowing through the first intake conduit. The induction system also includes a second intake conduit through which the air flows to the combustion chamber. A second plenum chamber unit is disposed upstream of the second intake conduit. The second intake conduit is coupled with the first intake conduit downstream of the control mechanism.

    摘要: An engine includes an improved sensor arrangement that can decrease the possibility of damage to sensors relating to fuel injection control. The engine includes a cylinder block defining first and second banks of cylinder bores extending separately from each other. Pistons reciprocate within the respective cylinder bores. Cylinder head members are arranged to close respective ends of the first and second banks of the cylinder bores. The cylinder head members define combustion chambers together with the cylinder bores and the pistons. An air induction system is arranged to introduce air to the combustion chambers. The induction system includes first and second intake units with the first intake unit allotted to the first cylinder bank and with the second intake unit allotted to the second cylinder bank. The first and second intake units define first and second intake passages, respectively, through which the air flows. Fuel injectors are arranged to spray fuel for combustion in the combustion chambers. First and second sensors are arranged to sense a condition of the intake air. A control device is configured to control the fuel injectors based upon signals of the first and second sensors. The first sensor is disposed at the first intake unit. The second sensor is disposed at the second intake unit.

    摘要: An outboard motor for a watercraft includes a simply structured fuel supply system of a smaller size and a longer life than prior fuel supply systems. The fuel supply system includes a delivery fuel tank carried by the outboard motor. Fuel is pumped from an external fuel supply tank carried by the watercraft to the delivery fuel tank by a low-pressure fuel pump located within the outboard motor. A control system controls the low-pressure fuel pump so that a predetermined level of fuel is maintained in the delivery fuel tank. The control system includes a fluid level detection sensor that detects the level of fuel within the delivery fuel tank and produces a corresponding signal indicative of the fuel level. A control unit circuit receives the fluid level signal and determines if the fluid level in the tank is higher or lower than a predetermined maximum fuel level. If the fluid level is determined to be higher than a maximum fuel level, the control unit circuit deactivates the low-pressure fuel pump. If the fluid level is determined to be lower than the maximum fuel level, the control unit circuit activates the low-pressure fuel pump.

    摘要: A multi-cylinder engine includes a plurality of combustion chambers and employs an improved intake pressure sensor arrangement to control fuel injection into the combustion chambers. A plurality of intake conduits define intake passages through which air flows to the combustion chambers. An intake pressure sensor senses intake pressure within the intake passages. A plurality of first conduits are coupled with an accumulator independent of one another and a second conduit is also coupled with the accumulator. The first conduits connect the accumulator to the respective intake passages. The second conduit connects the accumulator to the intake pressure sensor. A control device controls the amount of fuel injected into the combustion chambers based upon at least a signal from the intake pressure sensor.

    摘要: It is intended to provide a tampon wherein a string-shaped member is bonded to a cylindrical absorbent in the state of not being exposed on the absorbent surface. A tampon comprising an absorbent (2), which is obtained by molding a sheet member into a cylindrical shape, and a string-shaped member (4) which is bonded to the absorbent (2) and extends from one end of the absorbent (2). The string-shaped member (4) has a first string part which is bonded along the first direction of one face of the sheet member constituting the absorbent (2) and a second string part which extends from the sheet member. A first folding part is formed in one side of the second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction of the first string member, while a second folding part is formed in the other side of the second direction. Owing to this constitution, the absorbent (2) is deformed by bending respectively from the first folding part and the second folding part and thus molded into a cylindrical shape from which the first string part is not exposed.
