摘要： According to one embodiment, a controller controls writing into and reading from a storage apparatus that includes a first data-storage unit and a second data-storage unit. The second data-storage unit stores user data and parity data of the user data. The first data-storage unit stores the parity data. The controller includes a parity updating unit and a parity writing unit. When parity data is updated, the parity updating unit writes the updated parity data into the first data-storage unit. When a certain requirement is satisfied, the parity writing unit reads the parity data written in the first data-storage unit, and writes the parity data thus read into the second data-storage unit.

摘要： The present invention relates to a corrosion-protective composition containing a wax, an unsubstituted or substituted polyaniline in a doped form and a liquid paraffin, and articles comprising the composition applied on a substrate. It also relates to a process for manufacturing the composition, wherein i) a first dispersion of a polyaniline in a doped form is prepared; and ii) the first dispersion of the polyaniline is combined with a wax component to sufficiently disperse the polyaniline therein, and to the use of the composition as a single layer coating for the protection against corrosion of a substrate in need thereof.

摘要： In a data transfer scheme using a caching technique and/or a compression technique which is capable of reducing the network load of a network connecting between data transfer devices, correspondences between data and their names are registered at the data transfer devices and the corresponding names are transferred, instead of transferring the data, for those data for which the correspondences are registered, so that it is possible to reduce the amount of transfer data among the data transfer devices. Even when the name corresponding to the data is not registered so that it is impossible to transfer the corresponding name instead of transferring the data, it is possible to reduce the amount of transfer data among the data transfer devices by transferring the compressed data in which this data is expressed in a compressed form by utilizing the name corresponding to the registered reference data.

Since the identification mark 50 is formed within the pixel region 41, a transistor to be repaired can be surely identified, for example, by detecting the identification mark in a repair processing of the TFT array substrate. Furthermore, in an information processing apparatus for inputting figures and characters onto a screen using a laser pen, a locus of the laser pen can be accurately specified by specifying a position of a pixel region from an identification mark detected by the laser pen, and the figures and the characters input can be recognized minutely.

摘要： In order to display an image on a liquid crystal display at a constant image quality independently of a change of the length of the period for applying voltages with the same polarity to the liquid crystal, the length of one cycle of a horizontal synchronizing signal inputted to an LCD unit from an information processor is counted and the amplitude of data voltage and the center of the amplitude are corrected so that the amplitude of the data voltage to be applied to the liquid crystal increases and a correction value for the center of the amplitude increases as the length of the period for applying data voltages with the same polarity to the liquid crystal decreases in accordance with the length of one cycle of the horizontal synchronizing signal and whether to perform gate overlap scan. Thereby, the absolute values (V) of inter-electrode voltages after the TFT is turned off are equalized independently of the polarity of data voltage to be applied to the liquid crystal both for a relatively long period and for a relatively short period.
