    摘要： A chemical vapor deposition (CVD) system for depositing a material selectively on a part of a substrate comprises a reaction chamber in which a CVD process is performed, a substrate holder and substrate heater provided within the reaction chamber, a gas inlet fixture provided on the reaction chamber for introducing one or more CVD source gases into the reaction chamber, and a reactant distribution fixture provided on the gas inlet fixture within the reaction chamber for controlling distribution of the reactant species in the reaction chamber, wherein the reactant distribution fixture defines a subspace surrounding the substrate within the space of the reaction chamber such that the subspace has a dimension, measured in a direction generally perpendicular to the surface of the substrate such that the dimension is at least less than one half of the mean free path of the reactant species realized inside the space of the reaction chamber during the CVD process and such that an opening is formed for communicating the subspace inside the reaction distribution means with the rest of the space of the reaction chamber for freely passing product species formed as a result of the chemical reaction at the surface of the substrate.

    摘要： An electrical interconnection assembly which prevents a slack of insulated wire pieces interconnecting wire receiving terminals and is high in reliability in electric connection between them and suitable for high density wiring. The assembly comprises an insulating support body, a plurality of wire receiving terminals mounted on the insulating support body and each having a wire receiving slot formed at an end portion thereof, each of the wire receiving terminals having a terminal portion at the other end thereof, an insulated wire selectively received in the slots of the wire receiving terminals and cut into a plurality of wire pieces in such a manner as to form a predetermined wiring pattern, and a plurality of wire holding bosses provided on the insulating support body for holding intermediate portions of the wire pieces extending between the wire receiving terminals to retain the insulated wire in the predetermined wiring pattern. Also a process of and an apparatus for manufacturing such electrical interconnection assembly and a wire laying jig for use with such process and apparatus are disclosed.

    摘要： An optically active 7-substituted-1,4-dioxepan-5-one derivative represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms; and * means an asymmetric carbon atom, is disclosed. An optically active polymer represented by formula (II): ##STR2## wherein R and * are as defined above; and n is an integer of 25 or more, obtained by ring opening polymerization of the optically active 7-substituted-1,4-dioxepan-5-one derivative represented by formula (I) is also disclosed. A process for producing the optically active polymer represented by formula (II) is further disclosed, comprising subjecting an optically active 7-substituted-1,4-dioxepan-5-one derivative represented by formula (I) to ring opening polymerization in the presence of at least one catalyst selected from the group consisting of (i) an organotin compound, (ii) an organoaluminum compound and water, and (iii) an organozinc compound and water.

The shadow mask is formed to exhibit a radius of curvature on an opposing pair of edges thereof. The shadow mask may be formed to exhibit a radius of curvature on four opposing edges. The radius of curvature is substantially equal to a radius of curvature of an apertured area of the shadow mask.
