    摘要: The disclosure pertains to the field of reporting network capabilities in a cellular communication network. The disclosure relates to a method, performed in a wireless device 1, for providing a network capability report to a radio network node 10, wherein the wireless device and the radio network node are comprised in a wireless communications network. The method comprises receiving S2 from a network node 10, 4 in the wireless communications network 20 information specifying features that the wireless communication network supports for the wireless device 1. The method further comprises determining S3 capabilities of the wireless device with regard to the specified features and sending S4 to the radio network node 10 a network capability report message defining the capabilities of the wireless device with respect to the specified features. The disclosure also relates to corresponding nodes and to a computer program.

    摘要: A UE indicates its radio access capabilities to the base station. An element is added to the radio access capabilities reported by the UE, to indicate in a release-independent manner if a certain network signaling parameter (e.g., NS-value) has been modified or if a new parameter has been introduced for an operating band. In this manner, the base station can distinguish UE with a modified NS-value behavior from legacy UE for the purpose of admission control, imposing scheduling or handover restrictions, or the like.

    摘要: A method in a user equipment for handling cell selection is provided. While in dedicated mode the user equipment receives from a radio network node a measurement information message which indicates at least two frequencies associated with a respective cell in a respective radio access technology. While it is in dedicated mode, the user equipment performs measurements on the frequencies to obtain a respective measurement value for each one of them, and receives a selection indicator message comprising a respective priority for each one of the frequencies. The user equipment obtains a respective threshold value for each of the frequencies and successively evaluates the frequencies in descending priority order until a frequency is determined for which the measurement value exceeds its respective threshold value. When entering idle mode, the user equipment selects cell based on the evaluation.

    摘要: A network node (600), a wireless device (602) and methods for controlling a radio communication using carrier aggregation. The wireless device (602) sends (6:1) UE capabilities to the network node (600), indicating a maximum capability limit per component carrier and a total maximum capability limit across all component carriers to be used in the radio communication. The network node (600) further selects (6:2) a number of component carriers to be used by the wireless device, and configures (6:3) radio features on the selected component carriers based on the received UE capabilities. The network node (600) then signals (6:4) the selected number of component carriers and the configured radio features to the wireless device (602) for use in the radio communication (6:5). Thereby, the network node (600) can utilize the full capabilities of the wireless device (602) when configuring the radio features while still respecting both the maximum capability limit per carrier and the total maximum capability limit.

More particularly, there is provided methods and platforms for network based control of report messages comprising logged measurements in a wireless communications network. In accordance with some example embodiments, a UE (30) that has stored logged data i.e. logged measurements that are bigger than a single transmission packet, i.e. report message, segments the logged measurements and sends only a portion of the logged measurements that fits into a single report message. The UE (30) also indicates to a network node (28) that additional logged measurements exist at the UE buffer (44).

    摘要: Unsynchronized internal clocks of user equipments in a cellular communication system are addressed by a mechanism relying on a standalone clock function in user equipments. A network node distributes a time reference to a user equipment (UE), and the UE, using an internal clock function, time-stamps the logged measurements and/or events relative to the received time reference. When the UE has logged measurements, the UE indicates to the network node that it has an available measurement log. The network node may then request several UEs to deliver their respective measurement logs. The network node is then able to retrieve time-stamped measurement information from the measurement log of each UE relative to the sent time reference. The network node is then able to compare measurement information from each UE in a cell provided at the same time interval in all UEs.
