    摘要: A colored polyamide fiber composed of a polyamide resin, a pigment, a coupling agent and a compound represented by the following formula I: R′—CO—NH—R—NH—CO—R″  (I) wherein R is an alkylene group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and R′ and R″ are each independently an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 9 to 18 carbon atoms. The colored polyamide fibers are produced without causing bending and fiber break during the melt spinning even when the raw composition contains the pigment in a high concentration. Since the pigment is uniformly dispersed throughout the colored polyamide fibers, the coloration is deep and the strength is high. The colored polyamide fibers are suitable for the production of artificial leathers.

    摘要: A person's region is detected from input video of a surveillance camera; a person's direction in the person's region is determined; the separability of person's clothes is determined to generate clothing segment separation information; furthermore, clothing features representing visual features of person's clothes in the person's region are extracted in consideration of the person's direction and the clothing segment separation information. The person's direction is determined based on a person's face direction, person's motion, and clothing symmetry. The clothing segment separation information is generated based on analysis information regarding a geometrical shape of the person's region and visual segment information representing person's clothing segments which are visible based on the person's region and background prior information. A person is searched out based on a result of matching between a clothing query text, representing a type and a color of person's clothes, and the extracted person's clothing features.

    摘要: According to one embodiment, a monitoring system is provided, which has a personal authentication unit and a camera. The personal authentication unit is provided near a security gate and authenticates a person allowed to pass through the security gate. The camera photographs an area near the security gate, in which the personal authentication unit is provided. The monitoring system further has a data generation unit configured to generate personal attribute data about the person authenticated by the personal authentication unit, a person identification unit configured to identify the person authenticated, on the basis of video data generated by the camera, and a monitoring data generation unit configured to generate monitoring data composed of video data and metadata. The video data represents an image including the person identified by the person identification unit. The metadata is associated with the video data and containing the personal attribute data.

    摘要: An internal combustion engine includes a structure that increases the velocity of exhaust gas. The internal combustion engine includes a branch section arranged to branch a shock wave propagating at a higher velocity than exhaust gas and to guide the branched shock wave, and a reflecting section provided in the branch section. The reflecting section is arranged to reflect and return the shock wave back to an exhaust path and cause the shock wave to collide against the exhaust gas, thereby increasing the pressure of the exhaust gas. In accompaniment with the exhaust gas passing a divergent section of a convergent-divergent nozzle, a new shock wave propagating in a downstream direction in the exhaust path is generated, and the temperature and pressure of the exhaust gas are decreased.
