This composition includes (a) 60-66 wt % of a crystalline propylene-ethylene block copolymer, (b) 12-20 wt % of an ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber, and (c) 18-25 wt % of an inorganic filler. The block copolymer contains a first segment of a homopolymer of propylene and a second segment of a copolymer of propylene and ethylene, and has an isotactic pentad tacticity of at least 0.96. The ratio of the weight average molecular weight of the block copolymer to the number average molecular weight thereof is not greater than 6. The inorganic filler is one selected from the group consisting of a talc, a first combination of the talc and a glass fiber, and a second combination of the talc and a whisker. The talc has an average particle diameter of not greater than 2 &mgr;m. The glass fiber has an average fiber length of from 5 to 10 mm and an average diameter of from 15 to 20 &mgr;m. The whisker has an average fiber length of from 15 to 25 &mgr;m and an average diameter of from 0.5 to 1 &mgr;m. A molded plastic article made from the resin composition is substantially improved in scratch resistance.

摘要: A pillar garnish for a front pillar disposed between a front windshield glass and a side window glass of an automotive vehicle. The pillar garnish comprises a main body section formed of plastic and secured to a vehicle body. The main body section is generally channel-shaped to cover the front pillar forming part of the vehicle body. The main body section has an inner surface facing the front pillar, and an outer surface facing a vehicle passenger inside a passenger compartment. A plurality of reinforcement ribs are formed at the inner surface of the main body section and integral with the main body section. Each reinforcement rib extends perpendicular to the inner surface. Additionally, a plurality of auxiliary ribs are formed at the inner surface of the main body section and integral with the main body section. Each auxiliary rib extends parallel with each reinforcement rib. Each rib is located between the reinforcement ribs which are located adjacent each other. Each rib extends to occupy at least a part of a region surrounded by the inner surface of the main body section and first and second imaginary straight lines in a transverse plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the main body section.

摘要: An input apparatus, a control apparatus, a control system, and a control method that are capable of correcting an output signal when a hand movement is input to the input apparatus and with which a user does not feel a phase delay are provided. An input apparatus includes a velocity calculation section, a filter, a control section, and a memory. The velocity calculation section calculates velocity values of a casing in X′- and Y′-axis directions based on physical amounts output from a sensor unit like acceleration values in the X′- and Y′-axis directions output from an acceleration sensor unit. The filter attenuates, by predetermined scale factors, velocity values of signals of the predetermined frequency range out of the velocity values calculated by the velocity calculation section. Since the filter dynamically attenuates the velocity values of a shake frequency range in accordance with the velocity values, a precise pointing operation with a pointer becomes possible.

摘要: An input apparatus, a control apparatus, a control system, and a control method that are capable of making a movement of a pointer on a screen a natural movement that matches an intuition of a user are provided. An input apparatus includes a casing, an acceleration sensor, and an angular velocity sensor. The acceleration sensor detects an acceleration value of the casing in a first direction. The angular velocity sensor detects an angular velocity about an axis in a second direction different from the first direction. Instead of calculating a velocity value of the casing by simply integrating the detected acceleration value, the velocity value of the casing in the first direction is calculated based on the acceleration value and the angular velocity value that have been detected. As a result, a highly-accurate calculation of the velocity value of the casing becomes possible, and a movement of a pointer on a screen becomes a natural movement that matches a sense of a user based on a displacement corresponding to the velocity value.
