    摘要: A valve operation control system in an internal combustion engine, comprising an engine valve openably and closably supported on an engine body, a valve spring for biasing the engine valve in a valve closing direction, and valve driving means interposed between a valve-operating cam and the engine valve to transmit a force in the valve-opening direction provided by the valve-operating cam to the engine valve. The valve driving means includes a valve-opening resilient member for exhibiting a repulsive force in a direction to open the engine valve, and closed-position retaining means is interposed between the engine valve and the valve operating cam for retaining the engine valve at its closed position, with a valve-opening force provided by the valve-operating cam being accumulated by the valve-opening resilient member. The closed-position retaining means is arranged to be switchable between a retaining state and a releasing state to control the timing of opening the engine valve depending upon the operational condition of the engine.

    摘要: An automatic choke valve apparatus for an internal combustion engine comprising a choke valve mounted in an intake passage of an internal combustion engine and having an operation shaft connected to a driving shaft of an external pulse motor through an intermediate torsion spring and through circumferentially disposed front and rear pawls such that drive rotation from the motor can be effected only in the regular direction of rotation thereof. A driving pulse circuit is connected to the pulse motor to drive the same between first through fourth sequential operation conditions by respective detecting of the closure of an engine ignition switch, closure of an engine starter switch, beginning of complete firing of the engine, and continuing of the complete firing. The motor is driven in reverse direction of rotation in the first operation condition and in sequential regular direction of rotation in the second to forth operation conditions. In the first operation condition the motor is driven in predetermined high speed reverse direction of rotation, whereas in the second operation condition, it is driven in the regular direction of rotation for a predetermined constant time interval at a speed corresponding to engine temperature, whereas in the third operation condition, it is driven in regular direction of rotation at a predetermined high speed for a constant time interval, while in the fourth operation condition it is driven in the regular direction of rotation at a speed corresponding to engine temperature.

    摘要: An engine ignition control circuit includes a crank angle sensor and two reference position sensors. The engine ignition control circuit also includes an ignition timing control unit generating primary ignition signals and a replacement ignition signal generator device. The control circuit further includes a crank angle monitoring circuit which detects the failure of the crank angle sensor and generates a malfunction signal.     摘要: An automatic choke valve apparatus for an internal combustion engine in which an operation shaft connected to a choke valve provided in an intake passage of an internal combustion engine and a driving shaft connected to a pulse motor are connected together through an intermediate torsion spring and are engaged with one another through circumferentially disposed front and rear pawls for being feed-driven only in regular direction of rotation of the driving shaft. The choke valve is given a starting position setting in such manner that, by the operation of the pulse motor, the driving shaft undergoes excessive rotation beyond the fully closed position of the choke valve. A fast-idle cam cooperating with a throttle valve provided in the intake passage is angularly extended in one direction so as to form a low temperature cam portion comparatively large in cam height and the fast idle cam is connected to the driving shaft through a gang mechanism such as a link, so that in the course of excessive rotation of the driving shaft, the cam undergoes excessive rotation corresponding thereto and the low temperature cam portion is placed into operating position.

    摘要: A reverse drive for small vehicles in which an output shaft of a second motor, which is different from the internal combustion engine for running use, can be connected to the transmission line leading from the internal combustion engine to the rear wheel so as to rotate the rear wheel in reverse. The second motor is a starter motor capable of normal and reverse rotations, the normal rotation of the starter motor being transmitted to the internal combustion engine for driving use through a starting clutch, and the reverse rotation of said starter motor being transmitted to the power transmission line through a reverse clutch. Otherwise, the second motor may be a starter motor capable of rotating only in one direction. In this case, the output of the starter motor is transmitted to the output side of the power transmission line through a reverse transmission line while the output transmission line is interrupted.

    摘要: An engine ignition system connected between an engine crank and ignition coils includes a reference position signal generating device having reference position sensors, and a crank angle sensing device. The ignition system also includes a signal processing device which receives both the reference position signals and crank angle signals, and when one of the reference position signals is absent continues to generate ignition control signals which activate the ignition coils. The signal processing device includes a counter which counts the crank angle signals and which is reset by the reference position signals, and a decoder which produces a signal when a count value reaches a predetermined count. The signal processing device also includes a logic circuit and a flip-flop for producing either primary ignition control signals or replacement ignition control signals. The replacement ignition control signals are generated when one of the reference position signals is absent.

    摘要: A reverse drive for small vehicles in which an output shaft of a starter motor disposed independently of a driving internal combustion engine can be coupled to a power transmission system between the internal combustion engine and a rear wheel in such a way that the rear wheel is driven in the reverse direction. The starter motor may be capable of normal and reverse rotations, the normal rotation of the starter motor being transmitted to the internal combustion engine through a starting clutch, and the reverse rotation of said starter motor being transmitted to the power transmission system through a reverse clutch. Otherwise, the starter motor may be capable of rotating only in one direction. In this case, the output of the starter motor is transmitted to the output side of the power transmission system through a reverse transmission line while the power transmission system is interrupted.
