摘要： An ion exchanger is produced by reacting a substance containing carbon-to-carbon unsaturated double bond with a solution of iodine isocyanate in an organic solvent and then reacting the resulting isocyanate group added to said substance with a compound having the following formula(X).sub.n R(Y).sub.m or XYwherein X represents an addition active group to the isocyanate group, Y represents an ion-exchanging group or a chelating group, R represents an organic radical having any valence of from 2 to 6 and a molecular weight of 20 to 1000, and n and m are selected from integers of 1 to 5, respectively, provided that a sum of n and m is equal to the valence of R, to introduce the ion-exchanging group having ion-exchanging properties into said substance.

摘要： A method for improving the adhering ability of a vulcanized rubber surface by treating said surface with a solution of iodine isocyanate or a mixed solution of iodine isocyanate and iodine to provide a high adhering ability to said surface.The thus treated vulcanized rubber surface can be adhered strongly to other vulcanized rubber or the other various materials by contacting these materials tightly using an adhesive or without using an adhesive.

摘要： A novel functional high polymeric substance having .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylate group, which is obtained by reacting a liquid high polymeric substance containing carbon-to-carbon unsaturated double bond or a solution of said high polymeric substance with .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid and its derivative in the presence of pseudo halogen compound. A rubber composition suitable for sealant is obtained by compounding said functional high polymeric substance with a plasticizer and/or a filler.

摘要： A developing roller supports a one-component developer on a surface thereof in the form of a thin layer, and is brought in contact with or in proximity to an image forming body in such a state, to supply the developer on a surface of the image forming body, thereby allowing a visible image to be formed on the surface of the image forming body. The developing roller includes: an elastic layer having an ionically conductivity whose surface is imparted with a resin component having a high resistivity. Thus, if R1 is a resistance of the roller in a stationary state and R2 is a resistance of the roller in a rotational state, a relationship of R1>R2 is established. With this developing roller, it is possible to obtain a high quality image and a high gradient.
