摘要: A test plate for an agglutination test which comprises a plate with a plurality of wells formed thereon, each of the wells having adhered to a surface thereof a protein A and/or a protein G. The agglutination test plate, according to the present invention, when used in an agglutination test, can ensure a clear judgment concerning the formation of an agglutinative image or a non-agglutinative image, along with a good determination sensitivity. A process for the production of such an agglutination test plate is also provided.

摘要: A detection sheet capable of detecting an antigen or antibody in a biological fluid with a high sensitivity in a simple operation, as well as a detection kit and detection method using the detection sheet. The detection sheet comprises (a) a fibrous aggregate with carried particles of a calcium phosphate compound having an average particle diameter of about 0.01 to 200 microns and a Ca/P ratio of about 1.0 to 2.0, and (b) an avidin, streptavidin or avidin derivative from which carbohydrates have been extracted immobilized on said calcium phosphate compound. After a biotinylated antigen or antibody is bonded to the immobilized avidin, streptavidin, or avidin derivative of the detection sheet, the detection sheet is contacted with a test solution to thereby bond an antigen or antibody of the test solution to the detection sheet. The detection sheet is then contacted with a solution of labeling compound capable of being specifically bonded to the antigen or antibody of said test solution to detect the thus labeled antigen-antibody complex.

摘要: An evaluating method of a testing element having an immobilized antigen or antibody on an immobilizing carrier thereof, which immobilized antigen or antibody has yet to react with another antigen or antibody, which involves contacting the testing element with a solution containing an antibody or antigen reactive with the immobilized antigen or antibody, specifically binding a labelling compound to the reactive antibody or antigen to thereby cause a color-developing reaction of the labelling compound, and determining an amount of the antigen or antibody immobilized on the testing element as a function of a level of produced color. Using this evaluation method, a quantitative determination of the immobilized antigen or antibody can be carried out, and thus the performance of the testing element for antigens or antibodies can be evaluated.

摘要: A granular polymer composite comprising polymeric granules having coated on a surface thereof a calcium phosphate compound, at least a part of the particles of the calcium phosphate compound penetrates into the polymeric granules. The composite has a high bonding strength between the polymeric granules as a matrix and a coating of the calcium phosphate compound and also can fully exhibit the functions of a calcium phosphate compound. Using the granular polymer composite, a diagnostic agent which comprises of an antigen or antibody is adsorbed and immobilized on the composite and is therefore useful in diagnostic tests utilizing an antigen-antibody reaction for a number of infectious diseases.

摘要: A calcium phosphate-synthetic resin composite body produced by pressing a calcium phosphate block (or a calcium phosphate block and calcium phosphate particles), and synthetic resin particles I, which are at least partially cross-linked in advance, and uncross-linked, synthetic resin particles II while heating, the calcium phosphate block being exposed on at least part of the surface of the composite body. The above composite body is produced by a method comprising the steps of (a) introducing the calcium phosphate block (or a calcium phosphate block and calcium phosphate particles), the synthetic resin particles I and II into a cavity of a forming die such that the calcium phosphate block is present on at least part of the surface of the composite body, and that the synthetic resin particles surround the calcium phosphate particles, if any; and (b) pressing them in the cavity of the forming die while heating, so that the synthetic resin particles are bonded to each other.

摘要: A separating agent which includes a polyvinyl acetal resin having open cell structure and an average pore size of from about 10 to about 1000 micrometers; and, porous calcium phosphate granules having open cell structure, and also having two distributions of pore size wherein one distribution has micropores ranging from about 20 to about 500 nm in average pore size and the other distribution has small pores ranging from about 1 to about 50 micrometers in average pore size. Alternatively, the separating agent includes a polyvinyl acetal resin having open cell structure and having an average pore size of from about 10 to about 1000 micrometers as a first element, and a layer of porous calcium phosphate granules having an average granule size of from about 10 to about 2000 micrometers as a second element applied onto the first element. The separating agents may be used in a separator, and may be employed in separating methods. The separating agents, separator, and separating methods can be advantageously used to isolate a target cell or virus from a biological fluid in the fields of medical science and biochemistry. The distribution of target cell or virus subsets is not altered by the separation.
