摘要： In a communications device, a terminal machine transmits/receives data over a network and makes a request for a response to a data transmission from a receiving-end machine. In the terminal machine, an e-mail message identifying unit determines whether data to be received over the network is response data to the response request, and a main control unit controls so as to preferentially receive data identified as the response data by the e-mail message identifying unit over other data. Thus, if an e-mail message is transmitted with a request for a disposition verification, a reply message to the disposition verification request can be quickly received from the receiving-end machine.

摘要： In the present invention, after an image mail is transmitted to a receiving-end machine (S1, S2), when a reception error occurs, an image format of image data in the image mail is altered, and the image mail including this image data (retransmission image mail) is retransmitted to the receiving-end machine (S3 through S13). That is, it is attempted to avoid the occurrence of the communication error due to the image format, by altering the image format of the image data and retransmitting the same. With this arrangement, it is possible to avoid successive occurrence of the communication errors, even if the transmission data is retransmitted. Thus, as compared to the arrangements in which retransmission is not carried out at all or identical transmission data is retransmitted, the present arrangement can improve the efficiency of data transmission.

摘要： A communication system serving as a transmitter terminal and a receiver terminal for communications with a second communication system via a communication line, the communication system includes a storage section for data storage; a communication section for data communications, the communication section being adapted for reception and transmission of data and size information indicative of the size of the data with respect to the second communication system; a detection section for detecting a free space in the storage section; a comparing section for comparing the data size contained in the size information with the size of the free space in the storage section; a calculating section for, if the storage section is short of free space for accommodation of the data size, calculating a waiting period required for recovery from the shortage of the free space in the storage section; and a timer section for timing the lapse of the waiting period.

摘要： An object of the invention is to provide a communication apparatus capable of communicating by transmitting and receiving a protocol signal in accordance with a predetermined protocol, when receiving a DIS without receiving an ANSam signal, or not receiving a CM signal within a predetermined period after transmission of the ANSam signal. With a line connection established, when a calling station receives a DIS without receiving the ANSam signal, the calling station sends a DCS signal or an NSS and then executes the protocol according to Recommendation T.30. Further, with a line connection established, when a called station does not receive the CM signal within a predetermined time t1 after transmission of the ANSam signal, the called station sends the DIS with bit number 6 reset, and executes the protocol according to Recommendations T.30 in response to the DCS signal or NSS sent from the destination communication apparatus. Furthermore, the protocol according to Recommendations V.8 and V.34 are executed in response to the CM signal or a CI signal in placed of the DCS signal or the NSS.
