    摘要: A catalytic composite, comprising a combination of catalytically effective amounts of a platinum or palladium component, an iridium component, and a Group IVA metallic component with a carrier material containing alumina and a finely divided, zeolitic crystalline aluminosilicate, is disclosed. A specific example of the catalytic composite disclosed herein is a composite containing 0.01 to 2 wt. % platinum or palladium, 0.01 to 2 wt. % iridium and 0.01 to 5 wt. % germanium, tin or lead combined with a gamma-alumina carrier material having 0.1 to 20 wt. % of the hydrogen form of mordenite uniformly distributed therethrough. Principal utility of these catalytic composites is, broadly, in processes for the conversion of hydrocarbons and, more particularly, in a process for the production of LPG and a high octane reformate.

The catalyst composition is aged in an alkaline media to yield a catalyst substantially improved in activity, particularly with respect to the transalkylation of alkylaromatic hydrocarbons.
