    摘要: Benzoic acid derivatives of the formula ##STR1## wherein T is hydrogen or halogen, W is a carboxyl group, an ester or salt thereof; X is ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1 is alkyl having from 2 to 8 carbon atoms, aralkyl or phenyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl or alkylcycloalkyl; R.sub.2 is hydrogen or halogen, R.sub.3 is alkyl having from 5 to 8 carbon atoms, aralkyl or phenyl, or cycloalkyl having from 5 to 8 carbon atoms; R.sub.4 is hydrogen or alkyl; Y is a single chemical bond or a hydrocarbon chain having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; and Z is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, alkoxyalkoxy or alkenyloxy, have a blood sugar lowering effect and can be used for the treatment of Diabetes mellitus.

    摘要: Benzene sulfonyl ureas of the formula ##SPC1##In whichR represents a hydrogen, chlorine, or bromine atom, a methoxy or methyl group,--X--Y-- represents --N=CH--, --NH--CH.sub.2 --, --NH--CO--, ##EQU1## the alkyl herein containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atomsR.sup.1 represents an alkyl group having from 3 to 6 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having from 5 to 8 carbon atoms, 3-ethyl-cyclopentyl, methyl-cyclopentyl, dimethylcyclopentyl, 4-alkyl-cyclohexyl having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms in the alkyl group, cyclopentenyl, cyclohexenyl, cycloheptenyl, 4-chloro-cyclohexyl, 4,4-dimethylcyclohexyl, 3-methyl-cyclopentenyl, 4-methylcyclohexenyl, endoalkylene-cyclohexyl, endoalkylene-cyclohexenyl, bicyclo-(2.2.1) hept-2-en-7-yl, and their physiologically tolerable salts, useful for lowering blood sugar level in the treatment of diabetes mellitus.
