摘要: A method and apparatus for authenticating entities to use an intelligent interactive Electronic Product Code stored in an RFID tag attached to a document as a means for third parties to ascertain a document is not counterfeit and has not been revoked or changed. In addition, such intelligent RFID tags can uniquely identify a particular document and data related to the document. The authenticating agency can utilize a public or private Electronic Product Code database as a means for the authenticating agency and third parties to authenticate documents and data in documents. The intelligent interactive Electronic Product Code can be used as an anti counterfeit mechanism enabling third parties requested to provide services, benefits or monetary payments to authenticate documents and or the data associated with the document is not counterfeit.

摘要: The invention provides a sensor including a first sensor element formed in a first substrate and at least one optical element formed in a second substrate, the first and second substrates being configured relative to one another such that the second substrate forms a cap over the first sensor element, the at least one optical element being configured to guide incident radiation on the cap to the first sensor element. The sensor also includes a reference sensor element whose output can be used to reference the output of the first sensor element.

摘要: The present invention provides an adjustable rotor and/or stator, so that the interference fit and/or clearance can be adjusted. The rotor and/or stator are tapered to provide a difference in fit between the rotor and stator by longitudinal adjustment of their relative position. In one embodiment, the adjustment may occur while the PCP in mounted downhole in a wellbore. In another embodiment, the adjustment may occur automatically depending on sensor input of operating conditions of the PCP.

Included are a handheld case having a communication interface through which control instructions are issued to a control signal generating component, which includes a processor operatively connected to a computer memory and a remote control signal transmitter, being configured for performing the steps of converting the control instructions received from the communications interface into one or more remote control signals, and directing the remote control signal transmitter to transmit the one or more remote control signals at a pre-selected frequency, which substantially all models of the given manufacturer's media device responds to.

摘要: A power system has a prime mover. The power system may also include a multiple-ratio transmission having a rotary input member and a rotary output member. Additionally, the power system may include a coupler connected between the prime mover and the rotary input member of the multiple-ratio transmission. The power system may also include an electric machine. Additionally, the power system may include power-system controls operable to automatically control whether the rotary input member of the multiple-ratio transmission is drivingly connected to the prime mover, including automatically controlling whether the coupler has a power-transmitting operating state. The power-system controls may also be configured to operate the electric machine to reduce the speed of the prime mover in concert with an upshift of the multiple-ratio transmission.
