    摘要： An asymmetric complete-expansion thermodynamic engine cycle is provided by an engine which compresses an air/fuel mixture to a given ratio, ignites and combusts the mixture, and expands the products through a power stroke to a volume substantially larger than the compression volume before being vented and purged to the atmosphere. This cycle is performed by a non-axisymmetric main rotor revolving within a cylindrical housing. Sealing means associated with the main rotor provide for the varied compression and expansion volumes. The cylindrical housing also contains means for air intake, fuel injection, venting, and spent gas exhaust porting.

    摘要： A thermodynamic cycle for an internal combustion rotary engine is disclosed which achieves high efficiency through an asymmetry between the volume of air charge before compression and the volume of expanded air at the completion of expansion. The expanded volume is ideally selected such that the pressure of the exhaust gases is near the ambient pressure of the intake air. Three embodiments of engines which utilize the cycle are disclosed, one with the major components operating in uniform circular motion, one which utilizes lobe valves, and one which utilizes three sets of lobe valves such that three charges of air at various stages in the cycle are in the engine, thus increasing the power density of the engine.

    摘要： Wind or water currents turn a power generator rotor. A torque-dividing gearbox is coupled to an input shaft driven by the rotor. The torque-dividing gearbox has a plurality of output shafts located around a perimeter of the input shaft. A number of torque-reducing gearboxes are each coupled to a respective one of the output shafts, each one of the torque-reducing gearboxes driving a generator. In one design the torque-reducing gearboxes and generators are held stationary and the torque-dividing gearbox includes a bull gear turned by the input shaft. Each one of the output shafts is connected to a gear that engages the bull gear teeth. Alternatively, the torque-reducing gearboxes and generators rotate with the input shaft. The torque-dividing gearbox includes a stationary ring gear having ring gear teeth around an inner circumference. Each of the output shafts is connected to a gear that engages the ring gear teeth.

    摘要： A pasteurization system includes a liquid inlet configured to receive a liquid to be pasteurized. The system also includes a pump coupled to the liquid inlet for pressurizing the liquid. Further, the system includes a counter flow heat exchanger coupled to the liquid inlet and the pump, the counterflow heat exchanger configured to heat the liquid to a predetermined temperature for at least a predetermined time and configured to exchange heat between a flow of liquid in a first direction in a first channel with the flow of liquid in a second direction opposite the first direction in a second channel. A heating section that heats the liquid flow is integrated into the heat exchanger and heats at least a portion of the first channel or the second channel.
