    摘要: Implementations of the present disclosure involve an implantable medical pulse generator for administering electrotherapy via an implantable medical lead having a lead connector end on a proximal end of the lead. The pulse generator may include a can and a header coupled to the can. The header may include a lead connector end receiving receptacle for transmitting electrical pulses from the can to the lead through one or more electrical spring contacts in electrical communication with one or more terminals of the lead connector end. The one or more spring contacts may include a triangular shaped metal spring within a housing that forms an electrical contact with the lead connector end when the one or more terminals of the lead connector end is inserted into the header. Alternatively, the metal spring may take other shapes, such as, for example, circular, elliptical, or rectangular.

    摘要: A system for rapid thermal processing of a substrate in a process chamber while measuring and controlling the temperature at the substrate to establish substantially uniform substrate temperature in real time. The system includes an essentially continuous spirally-configured multizone illuminator having a plurality of substantially concentric rings of heating lamps for directing optical power toward the substrate and a fluid cooled optical reflector facing the substrate frontside and having a relatively high optical reflectivity. The illuminator can also be offset from the geometric center of the substrate. The system can also include a plurality of contact devices to provide thermal conductivity from each, or some subset, of the plurality of heating lamps. The illumination system of the present invention provides improved spatial resolution and improved thermal properties at the heating lamps.

    摘要: An implantable lead is provided that comprises a lead body and a header assembly. The lead body has a distal end and a proximal end. The lead body is configured to be implanted in a patient. The header assembly is provided at the distal end of the lead body and includes an internal chamber and a tissue engaging end. An electrode is provided on the header assembly. The electrode is configured to deliver a stimulating pulse. A resonant inductor is located within the chamber in the header assembly. An electrically floating heat spreader is provided on the header assembly. The heat spreader is located proximate to the resonant inductor and is positioned on the header assembly to cover at least a portion of the resonant inductor. The heat spreader is thermally coupled to the resonant inductor to convey thermal energy away from the header assembly.

    摘要: An implantable medical lead configured to reduce resonant currents in a resonating circuit during MRI scans and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed herein. The method of manufacturing includes providing a medical lead comprising an electrical pathway from a tip electrode located at a distal end of the lead to a lead connector located at a proximal end and coupling a resonating circuit to the tip electrode such that the resonating circuit is in the electrical pathway for the tip electrode. Further, the method includes coupling a capacitive element to a proximal end of the resonating circuit. The capacitive element is configured to shunt at least part of an RF current induced on the electrical pathway into surrounding tissue or fluid and also works as a heat sink to spread the heat from the internal LC resonant circuit.

    摘要: Rapid thermal cycling of substrates in low-pressure processing environments is achieved by movable temperature conditioners located outside the processing environments. The substrates are mounted on thermally conductive pedestals for processing in the low-pressure environment. The temperature conditioners are movable both into and out of thermal contact with the pedestals outside the low-pressure environment to regulate transfers of heat through the pedestals between the substrates and the temperature conditioners. A translatable cooler block with a high thermal mass and a large interface area with the pedestal can be used as a temperature conditioner for more rapidly withdrawing heat from the substrate.

In some embodiments the distal end of the lead includes a sensor for measuring quantities such as pressure at a distal side of the wall. The fixation structures may be positioned on opposite sides of the wall after implant. The fixation structures may be aligned with the lead during delivery of the lead to the implant site and expanded from the lead at the implant site.
