摘要: Mobile User Equipment (UE) is operated in a first mode in which radio functions are enabled. In response to a predetermined condition, the UE is operated in a power saving mode involving disabling all radio functionality for a first period of time during which no connection is maintained with a cellular communication system serving node. After the first period of time, the UE ascertains whether any attempts were made to contact it during the first period of time and if so whether any of the attempted contacts is characterized by an attribute that matches a predefined attribute. If any of the attempted contacts is characterized by the attribute that matches the predefined attribute, then a user alarm is activated. If the response to the user alarm has been made, then the UE is again operated in the first mode; otherwise, the UE is again operated in the power saving mode.

摘要: There is provided a computer-implemented method for transmitting data over a wireless network using white spaces. A first white space transmission channel is determined for communicating with mobile client devices. Wireless communication takes place with the mobile client devices over the first white space transmission channel. If the first white space transmission channel becomes unavailable to one of the mobile client devices because of the presence of a primary user on the first white space transmission channel, a different white space transmission channel is determined for communicating with the mobile client device that is affected. The first white space transmission channel may become unavailable to the affected mobile client device, for example, because a primary user begins using the first white space transmission channel in proximity to the affected device. The primary user may be a wireless microphone. Thereafter, communication with the affected wireless device takes place on the different white space transmission channel, while unaffected devices continue to communicate on the first white space transmission channel. Also provided are an exemplary wireless base station and an exemplary mobile client device.

摘要: A system for playing digital television. A server presets a video on demand (VOD) protocol specification, and transmits, according to the VOD protocol specification, a VOD service list and additional information to a digital television receiving terminal. The receiving terminal presets the VOD protocol specification, and stores, according the VOD protocol specification, the received VOD service list and additional information in an on-demand program database. Relative programs in the on-demand program database are matched according to a matching mark input by a user and displayed. In response to a program on-demand request of the user, the receiving terminal obtains the television program from the server and plays that program.

摘要: A method for multimedia broadcast and multicast service, MBMS, notification indicator detection from multiple MBMS notification-indication channel, MICH, frames in a User Equipment operating in a Wideband Code Division Multiple Access system is disclosed. The method comprises determining a desired number of MICH frames; upon connection with a NodeB, receiving an available number of MICH frames within a modification period; decoding notification indications of the received MICH frames; determining a majority value being the number of notification indications having a most frequent value of the decoded notification indications; and if a ratio between the majority value and the desired number of MICH frames is above a threshold value, determining the correct notification indicator to be the most frequent value, or if the ratio between the majority value and the desired number of MICH frames is less than the threshold value, connecting to the NodeB; receiving further MICH frames; and decoding notification indications of the received MICH frames such that the correct notification indicator is achieved. A computer program and a User Equipment apparatus are also disclosed.

摘要: A method for aligning a radiation source with a portable image receiver in a radiographic imaging system generates a magnetic field with a predetermined field pattern and with a time-varying vector direction at a predetermined frequency from an emitter apparatus that is coupled to the radiation source, wherein the generated magnetic field further comprises a synchronization signal. Sensed signals from the magnetic field are obtained from a sensing apparatus that is coupled to the image receiver, wherein the sensing apparatus comprises three or more sensor elements, wherein at least two of the sensor elements are arranged at different angles relative to each other and are disposed outside the imaging area of the image receiver. An output signal is indicative of an alignment adjustment according to the amplitude and phase of the obtained sensed signals relative to the synchronization signal.
