摘要: Disclosed is a rubber modified styrene resin composition which comprises 50-98% by weight of a rubber modified styrene resin and 50-2% by weight of zinc oxide whiskers. This composition can provide molded articles excellent in mechanical strength, surface state and vibration damping characteristics. Impact strength can be further improved by adding to the above composition a rubber-like material. The zinc oxide whiskers preferably have a tetrapod-formed crystal structure and furthermore, is preferably surface treated with a coupling agent such as silane compound.

摘要: A rubber modified styrene based resin composition which is excellent in the balance of impact strength and shapes appearance such as gloss and especially image clarity, and has a wide applicability in the field of housings for household electric apparatuses and the like requiring such a shapes appearance as having been difficult to achieve with conventional rubber modified polystyrenes (HIPSs), and which comprises a styrene based resin forming a matrix and particulate soft component containing rubbery elastomer dispersed in the matrix, wherein the soft component dispersed in the composition consists of a small-sized particulate component having a core/shell structure and an average particle size of 0.1 to 0.4 .mu.m and a large-sized particulate component having a cell structure and an average particle size of 0.8 to 2.0 .mu.m, a ratio by weight of the small-sized component to the large-sized component being in the range of 90:10 to 99:1, and the resin composition contains an amount of 0.01 to 0.5% by weight of methyl phenyl silicone oil.

摘要: A rubber-modified styrene resin composition is disclosed, comprising (A) a rubber-modified styrene resin having dispersed therein from 1 to 15% by weight of a rubbery polymer having an average particle size of from 0.1 to 2.5 .mu.m, (B) an organopolysiloxane in an amount of from 0.01 to 0.2% by weight on silicon conversion based on the rubber-modified styrene resin, and (C) an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester copolymer in an amount of from 0.05 to 10% by weight based on the rubber-modified styrene resin. The composition exhibits markedly improved areal impact strength while retaining other physical properties and is, therefore, useful for exterior parts.

摘要: A method for manufacturing reduced iron briquettes, wherein reduced iron obtained by a direct reduction method is made into briquettes using a briquette machine, and whereafter the hot briquettes are subject to gradual cooling at a cooling rate in the range of 150.degree. C. to 250.degree. C. per minute using water spray. The reduced iron briquettes thus obtained are (a) less prone to breakage break during storage and transport; (b) less prone to degeneration into powder accompanying such breakages etc.; and (c) also display an excellent degree of metallization. Hence, the loss in weight during storage and transport can be reduced, and the harmful effects caused by dust to the transport vehicles, ships, loading/unloading equipment, and operators of the same can be reduced. Also, since the number of breakages is reduced, there is also a reduction in the amount of any re-oxidation of the reduced iron which tends to occur at newly exposed faces, whereby a product of more consistent quality can be obtained.

摘要: A laminated safety glass comprising at least two glass plates and an interlayer, said interlayer comprising a crosslinked product of a hydration reaction product of an ethylene copolymer comprising (1) 60 to 95% by weight of ethylene, (2) 5 to 40% by weight of glycidyl acrylate or methacrylate, (3) 0 to 20% by weight of one or more comonomer selected from the group consisting of a vinyl ester having 4 to 10 carbon atoms and an ester of acrylic or methacrylic acid with an alcohol having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, said hydration reaction product having a hydration rate of epoxy group of preferably 5 to 80% by mole, more preferably 30 to 70% by mole.
