A tubular member (25) of a boot attachment (30) is inserted in the boot (70) with a sufficient clearance, and an upper end portion (43) of the tubular member (25) is exposed from a top (70B) of the boot (70). A second lower vent (34) provided in a lower portion of the tubular member (25) is directed to a toe portion (70C) in the boot (70), and a first intermediate vent (35) and a second intermediate vent (36) are provided in a vertically intermediate portion of the tubular member (25). Cleaning air supplied into a drum (8) of the washing machine is smoothly introduced into the tubular member (25) of the boot attachment (30) by the upper end portion (43) to flow down through the tubular member (25). The cleaning air flows out of the tubular member (25) through the first intermediate vent (35), the second intermediate vent (36) and the second lower vent (34) to spread inside the boot (70). Thus, the inside of the boot (70) is sanitized with the cleaning air.

The present invention relates to immunoglobulin (Ig)-binding proteins with alkali-resistance properties. In one embodiment, the present invention provides for a variant of an Ig-binding protein, the variant comprising the Ig-binding protein having at least one asparagine residue substituted with a histidine, a serine, an aspartic acid or a threonine residue. The at least one substitution may confer to the variant Ig-binding protein an increased stability in alkaline solutions when compared to the wild-type Ig-binding. The present invention relates also to matrices for affinity separation of immunoglobulins comprising the Ig-binding proteins of the present invention, and to methods of using the Ig-binding proteins of the present invention to separate immunoglobulins from mixture compositions.

Provided are polymer particles which can be used at a high flow rate when used as a filler for chromatography, that is, has excellent resistance flow rate appropriate for processing in large quantities, and also has a high binding capacity for target molecules such as proteins when an appropriate ligand is contained in the particles, and a method for producing the polymer particles; specifically, crosslinked polymer particles and a method for producing the crosslinked polymer particles, polysaccharide composite particles and a method for producing the polysaccharide composite particles, a filler for chromatography using the polymer particles, and an adsorbent for antibody purification. Disclosed are: A. a method for producing polysaccharide composite particles, the method including the following steps (1) to (3): (1) a step of preparing a polysaccharide solution, in which two or more kinds of polysaccharides are dissolved in an ionic liquid; (2) a step of preparing a droplet dispersion liquid of the polysaccharide solution, in which liquid droplets of the polysaccharide solution are dispersed in an organic solvent having low compatibility with the ionic liquid; and (3) a coagulation step in which a composite of the polysaccharides are coagulated to obtain the polysaccharide composite particles; and B. a method for producing a crosslinked polymer particle, the method including a step of allowing a polymer dissolved in an ionic liquid, to react with a crosslinking agent while the polymer is subjected to droplet dispersion in an organic solvent having low compatibility with the ionic liquid.
