    摘要: A method of protecting a toner image on a resin-containing material surface comprising applying to the surface carrying the toner image a liquid fixing composition in which the liquid is a hydrocarbon liquid being mainly composed of (a) liquid aliphatic hydrocarbon(s) and which contains in dissolved form a film-forming copolymer composed of:(A) monomers, of the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 aliphatic esters of methacrylic acid and vinyltoluene,(B) monomers of the group consisting of C.sub.7 -C.sub.24 aliphatic esters of methacrylic acid or acrylic acid and optionally(C) monomers of the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 aliphatic esters of acrylic acid and vinyl esters of C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 aliphatic acids.

    摘要: A sheet or web material for use in developing and fixing toner images which comprises a support and a thermo-adhesive fixing layer defining the surface of the material on which the toner image is deposited. The thermo-adhesive fixing layer comprises an organic polymeric material and has the following properties: a surface resistance above 10.sup.10 Ohm/square, freedom from blocking at least up to 35.degree. C, a melt viscosity at 190.degree. C of not more than 120 P, and an abrasion resistance at 20.degree. C above 175 g.The process for fixing a toner image on this sheet or web material comprises the steps of image-wise depositing on said thermo-adhesive fixing layer toner particles forming with the molten thermo-adhesive fixing layer a contact angle smaller than 90.degree., heating above 90.degree. C at least those parts of such layer corresponding with the toner images, said heating being of a sufficient intensity and duration that said particles sink within the softened fixing layer, and allowing said imaged layer to cool to fix said image particles in said layer.

    摘要: Mordanting agents for anionic organic compounds are described which comprise recurring units of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or methyl; A is methylene or methylene substituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl;n is 0 or 1;R.sub.2 is alkyl, andX is an acid radical.They are particularly suitable for hindering diffusion of dyes in hydrophilic colloid media e.g. hydrophilic colloid layers of a photographic silver halide element, for hindering diffusion of color couplers in such layers e.g. layers of a radiographic silver halide color element and for the formation of color images by the relief imbibition process.

    摘要: Abrasion marks by dry-friction and the tendency of producing pressure-scratches in photographic materials is reduced by incorporating in the gelatin silver halide emulsion layers polymeric compounds containing recurring units with semicarbazone or alkoxy carbonyl hydrazone groups in the side-chains.     摘要: Method of forming thermal transfer dye images comprising exposing a recording element comprising at least one layer of an organic photochemical imaging composition comprising a heat-diffusible dye (precursor) monomer, said layer being permeable to said dye (precursor) monomer, to an image-wise distribution of actinic radiation to create a change in its permeability corresponding to said image-wise distribution of actinic radiation, wherein said change in permeability is brought about by the radiation-induced polymerization or crosslinking reaction of said organic photochemical imaging composition combined with a concurrent copolymerization or crosslinking reaction of said heat-diffusible dye (precursor) monomer, bringing said recording element in contact with an image-receiving element, overall heating at least one of said contacting elements to cause diffusion of the heat-diffusible dye (precursor) monomer from the areas having unchanged permeability and transfer to said image-receiving element, causing in the case of said dye precursor monomer reaction of said transferred dye precursor monomer with a reagent present in said recording element, in said image-receiving element, or in a fluid medium applied to said image-receiving element, to convert said transferred dye precursor monomer into a dye. The invention also provides a recording element for use according to this method.
