摘要： An explosion-proof device for a battery comprises: a vent formed in a battery shell of the battery; a valve core movably disposed in the vent to seal and open the vent; a support mounted on an outer wall of the battery shell; and an elastic element. One end of the elastic element is connected to the support and another end of the elastic element is connected to the valve core so as to normally push the valve core to seal the vent. Each of a power battery and a power battery module includes the explosion-proof device.

The vehicle includes at least one motor/generator and a battery system for supplying electrical power to and receiving electrical power from the motor/generator. The battery system includes multiple battery packs, each comprising a plurality of cells. The plurality of cells in each battery pack are electrically connected with one another. Multiple battery pack housings are provided to house the plurality of cells. Each battery pack housing facilitates electrical connection to one or more other battery pack. The system also includes a compartment containing the multiple battery packs in their housings. The compartment facilitates electrical connection to the motor/generator.

A first gasket is secured within the rectangular shell between the first end cap and the core to resiliently hold the core away from the first end cap. A second end cap is used to close the second open end. A cathode terminal extends through the second end cap from an interior portion of the electrochemical storage cell to an external portion thereof. A second gasket is secured within the rectangular shell between the second end cap and the core to resiliently hold the core away from the second end cap.

摘要： A battery pack comprises a plurality of electrochemical cells and a housing. The cells have similar shape and size. The shape is a rectangular prism with opposing major faces. The cells are aligned in a stack along an axis of the pack so that one of the major faces of each cell contacts the major face of the adjacent cell. The housing comprises a top portion and a bottom portion. The top portion comprises a top plate and four side plates joined to the top plate so as to form a cavity with an opening. The cross-sectional area of the opening is at least slightly larger than the cross-sectional area of the stack, and the cross-sectional area of the cavity in a plane closer to the top plate is sized so that the stack fits snugly therein. The battery stack is disposed in the housing. The bottom portion closes the opening.

The current fuse device comprises: an insulating box having a cavity; a first conductor fixed to the insulating box with a first outer end and a first inner end; a second conductor fixed to the insulating box with a second outer end and a second inner end; and at least one elastic member disposed on at least one of the first conductor and the second conductor and inside the cavity. The elastic member forms an electrical connection between the first inner end of the first conductor and the second inner end of the second conductor. The elastic member has an elastic potential energy to break the electrical connection when a short circuit occurs.
