摘要： In a communications network, it is necessary for client software applications to monitor detail records constructed from messages transmitted in a signalling network (100) associated with the communications network. Prior techniques for delivery of the detail records to the client software applications included separate generation of the detail records for each client software application resulting in duplication of effort in the collection and dissemination of the detail records as well as the prolific number of detail record generation tasks required. The present invention overcomes these disadvantages by having a single generator (200, 410) of detail records per site in the signalling network (100), the delivery of the detail records to the client software applications (400, 402, 710, 712, 718) involving a point-to-multipoint communication.

摘要： A fluid delivery device is configured to create a pressure differential across a compartment in which a liquid resides, causing the liquid to flow through the compartment. After a period of time, the fluid delivery device is configured to eliminate the pressure differential and thereby equilibrate the pressure across the compartment, with the use of a pressure equilibration channel that is separate from the compartment. The compartment may contain a packed bed of solid phase particles such as beads. In such case, the pressure differential causes the liquid to flow through the packed bed. The liquid may include chemical reagents or precursors that participate in chemical reactions on or at the solid phase particles. The reactions may relate to chemical synthesis, for example the synthesis of bio-chemicals such as nucleotides.

摘要： An ATR scanner and method for calibrating the same are disclosed. The scanner includes an ATR objective having a reflecting face and an optical port adapted to receive a first light beam, and to focus the first light beam to a point, at a location on the reflecting face such that the first light beam is reflected by the reflecting face and no portion of the first light beam strikes the reflecting face at an angle greater than the critical angle. A detector measures an intensity of light reflected from the reflecting face. A controller controls the location of the focal point and determines an intensity of light that was incident on the reflecting face as a function of the position on the reflecting face and an intensity of light that was reflected from the reflecting face as a function of position on the reflecting face.

In various examples, a computing system might receive a request for an unlock code for a requested service from a user using a client device on which a first software is executed, the request comprising a generated unique identifier associated with the requested service and/or the first software. The generated unique identifier comprises licensing information associated with the requested service and/or the first software. In response to receiving the generated unique identifier, the computing system might determine whether the user should have access to the requested service using the first software based at least in part on the licensing information. If so, the computing system might generate an unlock code associated with the requested service using the first software, might deduct cost associated with the licensing information, and might send the unlock code to the user.

摘要： The invention provides metal liquid chromatography components with uniformly coated internal surfaces and methods for achieving the same. The invention addresses the problem of corrosion or interference of metal components in the flow path for LC analyses in which the sample interacts with metal ions or surfaces. The invention also alleviates the difficulties in coating very long metal tubes and very small metal channels with an inert, continuous coating that adheres well to metal surfaces. The metal flow path is rendered inert by the coating, and thus compatible with bioanalytical separations, for example, by using a vapor phase deposition process to coat the inner surfaces with a coating that continuously covers all metal surfaces in the flow path.
