摘要： The present invention is in the field of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and relates to human interleukin-2 (IL-2) for use in the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in a human subject, wherein each dose of human IL-2 administered to said subject is between 0.1×106 to 3×106 international units (IU) Human IL-2 is preferably administered in cycles of 3 to 7 days of once-daily sub-cutaneous injection of 0.1×106 to 3×106 HI human IL-2. The treatment does not comprise the administration of regulatory T cells to the subject, who is preferably also under riluzole treatment. The administered human IL-2 is preferably not complexed with anti-hIL-2 antibodies and the treatment also preferably does not comprise the administration of rapamycin or any other suppressive agent of effector T cells (Teffs) to the subject. The treatment permits to decrease plasma CCL2 concentration and to change the polarization of blood macrophages from an M1 inflammatory phenotype to an anti-inflammatory M2 phenotype involved in tissue repair.

In the method, a 3D image dataset to be displayed is retrieved and a highlight position is identified within the 3D image dataset. A scalar opacity map is calculated for the 3D image dataset, the opacity map having a value for each of a plurality of positions in the 3D image dataset, the respective value being dependent on the respective position relative to the highlight position, and on the value of the 3D image at the respective position relative to the value of the 3D image at the highlight position. The opacity is applied to the 3D image dataset to generate a modified 3D image view.

During a second cardiac cycle following the first cardiac cycle, a second imaging sequence is generated for application to the subject. The second imaging sequence has a preparatory pulse. Second signals emitted from the subject in response to the second imaging sequence are detected, and second image data are generated based on the second signals.

摘要： A method for generating motion-corrected medical images includes obtaining, via a processor, k-space data of a region of interest acquired by a magnetic resonance imaging system utilizing a 3D radial pulse sequence with ZTE acquisition including optional magnetization preparation pulses. The method further includes reconstructing, via the processor, one or more interleaved k-space segments of the plurality of interleaved k-space segments to generate a respective motion navigator volume. The method even further includes co-registering, via the processor, each respective motion navigator volume to estimate motion and performing motion correction on the one or more interleaved k-space segments and their corresponding k-space trajectories. The method still further includes generating, via the processor, a motion-corrected volume from all of the motion corrected interleaved k-space segments and their corresponding motion corrected k-space trajectories.
