    摘要: Bacterium belonging to a new genus, and a process for production of carotenoid pigment selected from the group consisting of astaxanthin, adonixanthin, .beta.-carotene, echinenone, canthaxanthin and zeaxanthin, comprising the steps of culturing a bacterium capable of producing at least one of the carotenoid pigments, and recovering an individual carotenoid pigments.The producer bacterium belongs to new genus.According to the present process various carotenoids can be produced in an industrial scale. By the present process (3S, 3'S)-astaxanthin can be produced in an almost 100% purity.

    摘要: Combustion air is supplied being divided into inner and outer cylinders of a main burner body, and liquid fuel is injected and burnt by a liquid fuel injection nozzle provided in the inner cylinder, wherein a tip end injection hole of the nozzle faces outside of the nozzle through a fore end opening of the inner cylinder. An annular flame piloting baffle plate for the inner cylinder is provided in front of the injection hole of the tip end opening of the inner cylinder, a swirler is provided inside of a tip end portion of the outer cylinder, and an annular flame piloting baffle plate is provided at a tip end opening portion of a cylindrical space formed between the outer and inner cylinders. Due to the foregoing construction, flames of the burner for burning liquid fuel are stabilized and an amount of generated NOx gas is reduced.

    摘要: A simple manufacturing process for obtaining a carbon/carbon composite of superior performance is provided without using a carbon fiber fabric which is expensive and without going through the step of fixing fibers together using a binder.A precursor fiber for a carbon fiber which precursor fiber has been rendered infusible is subjected to uniaxial pressing at a temperature lower than the temperature adopted in the infusiblizing treatment, and then a carbonization treatment is performed.According to the present invention, a primary-pressed carbon material can be produced without using a binder, thus resulting in that not only the carbon material but also a carbon/carbon composite can be produced in a simple manner.
