In such an assembly, the first elongated electrical conductor and the second elongated electrical conductor typically have a combined resistance of less than 1 ohm per meter. In any event, such an assembly can be used in a signal-reflection-based position-sensing system.

摘要: A server computer is configured to write a first copy of a block of data to a first namespace on a first non-volatile memory-based cache drive and a second copy of the block of data to a RAID controller for de-staging of the data to hard disk drives of a RAID array. Acknowledgment of hardening of the data on the hard disk drives initiates purging of the first copy of the block of data from the cache drive. High availability is enabled by writing a third copy of the block of data to a second server to store the block of data in a second namespace on a second non-volatile memory-based cache drive. Restoring of data after power loss accesses the data on the first non-volatile memory-based cache drive.

摘要: An apparatus and method of keeping an energy storage cell at or above a target temperature, includes receiving at a processing circuit, an analog voltage that is proportional to a temperature of the energy storage cell, converting, at the processing circuit, the analog voltage to a pulse-width-modulated signal having a duty cycle that is proportional to the analog voltage, and driving a switch, with the pulse-width-modulated signal, between conductive and non-conductive states to modulate a voltage passing across (or a current flowing through) a heating element in series with the switch, the heating element being in thermal communication with the energy storage cell, wherein the duty cycle of the pulse-width-modulated signal is adjusted to maintain the temperature of the energy storage cell at or above the target temperature.

摘要: A biosensor for monitoring nitric oxide (NO) of a patient in vivo, includes a PPG circuit configured to obtain a first spectral response for light reflected at a first wavelength from skin tissue of the patient, wherein the first wavelength has a high absorption coefficient for nitric oxide in arterial blood flow and obtain a second spectral response for light reflected at a second wavelength from skin tissue of the patient, wherein the second wavelength has a low absorption coefficient for nitric oxide in arterial blood flow. The biosensor further includes a processing circuit configured to determine an NO measurement value for nitric oxide using the first spectral response and the second spectral response and obtain an adjusted measurement value of nitric oxide by compensating the NO measurement value using a measurement value for at least a first species of hemoglobin.
