    Abstract: A saw table as well as a band saw apparatus, wherein the saw table includes a saw table frame and transport rollers. The transport rollers together define a substantially horizontally oriented transport surface. The transport rollers are upwardly and downwardly movable between an upper position in which the transport rollers can support and transport workpieces, and a lower position. Between successive transport rollers work piece support elements are positioned which are at a higher level than the transport rollers when the transport rollers are in the lower position, and at the same level or at a lower level the transport rollers are in the upper position, wherein the workpiece support elements are configured to leave a saw band workrange clear in which the saw band can extend.

    Abstract: A band saw attachment for working in conjunction with a band saw for cutting arcuate panels from a piece of stock. The attachment includes a frame structure and a carriage movably mounted on the frame structure and movable back and forth between selected cutting positions. A rotating support is pivotally mounted to the carriage and pivotally movable back and forth relative to the blade of the band saw. In operation, the rotating support receives and holds a piece of stock and by rotating the support the blade of the band saw functions to cut arcuate shaped panels from the piece of stock.

    Abstract: A band saw with a complex coordination of a tilting motion and a translational motion between the workpiece and the band saw blade, so that a curved cut is made in the workpiece. The geometric parameters of the cut can be continuously adjusted. This makes it possible to optimize a contact length of the saw blade in the workpiece, which is an important factor in the cutting process. It is thus possible to saw workpieces made of stone and similar materials that are typically difficult to cut. The cut and the contact length of the saw blade can be tailored individually to each workpiece to be sawed. Thus, workpieces of different geometrical dimensions and different material properties, in particular with different material hardnesses, can be processed using the band saw according to the invention without having to undertake significant changes.

    Abstract: A double-acting pipe cutting band saw apparatus and method for using the same are capable of cutting a relatively large workpiece with a relatively small size band saw blade, furthermore, it improves the cutting efficiency and life of the band saw blade. Since the pipe to be cut is put on a rotary table which is mounted a slide table, it can be continuously rotated and moved with respect to the band saw assembly during the cutting operation. Hence, the pipe to be cut can be completely cut by a band saw blade whose operable cutting length of the band saw blade does not have to be larger than the diameter of the pipe, which reduces cutting time while improving cutting efficiency. The service life of the band saw blade is extended since the cutting operation is not just performed by the rotation of the band saw blade.
