    摘要: The invention relates to a method for connecting material webs disposed with overlapping edges, wherein an automatic welding machine having a driven chassis and a drive unit disposed thereon and a welding unit is guided along the overlap zone of the material webs to be connected, such that the carried welding unit connects the edges to be connected to one another. The invention further relates to an automatic welding machine for performing the method. The invention proposes that a temporary guide marking moving along with the chassis be generated along the edge of the overlapping material web by means of a marking unit disposed on the chassis, said guide marking always extending parallel to the edge and prescribing the path of the automatic welding machine on the overlapping material web and that the guide marking be detected by means of a sensor device during the movement of the automatic welding machine, wherein a control signal is generated for a display unit and/or the drive unit and the chassis is movable along the guide marking by means of the control signal.

    摘要: A heat and sealant delivery nozzle is constructed for sealing seams between adjacent sheets of flooring. The nozzle of the invention is formed from separate, mating sealant feeding and hot air conducting members that fit to and are secured together. The two part construction of the nozzle produces first and second enclosed plenum chambers therebetween with a series of ducts and passages that preheat both the groove in the flooring that is to receive molten sealant, and the sealant itself. Furthermore, although the pattern of ducts, passages, and cavities within the finished nozzle is quite intricate, the ducts, passageways, and ports are formed without great difficulty due to the two part construction of the nozzle. Moreover, the nozzle is constructed so that the hot air does not mix with the sealant within an internal melting chamber, but rather makes contact with the molten sealant only when the sealant leaves the nozzle.

    摘要: An automatic welding machine for planar plastic materials, such as sealing sheets, tarpaulins or films, the chassis, in the welding position, in addition to being carried by the driving unit and the pressure device, also being carried by a rigid guide wheel, preferably in the front region of the chassis. With respect to a pressure roller running essentially on the welded overlap region, the guide wheel is arranged in such a way that, during the welding, it runs along the bottom plastic material parallel to the edge of the top plastic material. In addition, the guide wheel has a narrow running surface. During the welding, the guide wheel runs along the edge of the overlapping plastic material and the pressure roller runs essentially on the weld region. Due to this configuration, the automatic welding machine can follow the edge in such a way as to keep to the track, so that guidance by the operator or frequent corrections of the welding direction are not necessary. This leads to an increased weld quality and also to a higher welding speed. There is less interference from the background or due to the welding device swinging in laterally.

    摘要: An improved hot air welder which includes a blower communicating with a heater assembly mounted on a chassis wherein the chassis has coupled thereto a pressure wheel and tracking wheel, includes means for adjusting the angle of orientation of the pressure wheel and tracking wheel with respect to the chassis in order to obtain a proper pressure bias through the pressure wheel on the seam over which the pressure wheel rides, and for providing a proper orientation of the tracking wheel according to the slope of the roof upon which the welder is driven. The welder can accommodate inside and outside seams with equal facility. The air dam has an improved roller track to more evenly apply pressure against the underlying roofing material. A guide member slidably engages and accommodates roofing material from both the left and right sides to assist in guiding the hot air welder along the seam to be welded. A constant speed blower controlled by a gate valve controls the amount of air to the heater assembly. An alarm is included within the heater assembly for sensing insufficient temperature when the welder is operating and for sounding an audible alarm to indicate to the operator that insufficient heat is being delivered to the seam to manufacture a suitable weld.
