    摘要: Side portions of a plurality of strip-shaped members to be arranged on a drum are positioned accurately and joined with accuracy while sufficient joint strength is assured. The drum is rotated each time the strip-shaped member is arranged by arranging means, and a plurality of the strip-shaped members are sequentially arranged in a drum peripheral direction. The side portions of the adjacent strip-shaped members are joined by joining means so as to manufacture a constituent member of a tire. A joint portion whose thickness is relatively small is provided on one of the side portions of the strip-shaped member, and the plurality of strip-shaped members are arranged by overlapping the joint portion on one of the side portions and the other side portion. A width between the side portions is measured, the drum is rotated based on the measurement, and the positions of the side portions are matched.

    摘要: The present invention describes a system that enables the monitoring and automatic control of the tolerance in splice overlap of textile ply, through the identification of the overlap area (1a), identification and counting of textile cords (1b) in the referred overlap area, and the generation of a control signal for the remaining manufacturing equipment, based on parameters and criteria defined by the user. The system is composed of: an image acquisition sub-system (2) containing modules of lighting, of artificial vision and respective elements of support, fixation, conditioning and adjustment (3); a quality control computer program constituted by a module of morphologic image analysis for the detection and recognition of the overlap of the ply, detection and counting of cords in the overlap area, a module of support to the decision of acceptance/rejection of the ply based on parameters defined by the user and a module of interface with production equipment.

    摘要: A process and apparatus are provided for joining overlapping fore and rear ends of two pieces of deformable material which are placed in overlapping relationship through the conjunctive use of a first fixed support surface supporting a protruding rear edge of one of the pieces of material and a second rotative support surface supporting a non-protruding fore edge of the second piece of material. Each support surface is provided with associated devices for shifting an associated support edge of material to create small waves of material near the edges of the first and second pieces of material. The shifted pieces of material are overlapped by rotating the second support surface into substantial alignment with the first support surface thereby bringing the fore edge of the second piece under and in contact with the rear protruding edge of the first piece. A pressing device joins the overlapped edges of the two pieces of material by pressing them against the second support surface.

    摘要: A strip member is wound by a tire building machine having a building drum for taking up a strip member of predetermined length without discrete ends and a transfer conveyor for feeding the strip member to the building drum. The winding-start end of the strip member transferred from the transfer conveyor to the building drum and the winding-finish end of the strip member are detected by means of end sensors, measuring the angle through which the building drum has rotated from the output of a winding start signal to the output of a winding finish signal in response to output signals from the sensors by means of an angle detector. A lapping margin between the winding start end and the winding finish end of the strip member is calculated based on the rotational angle and diameter of the building drum by means of an operational means.

    摘要: An apparatus for building a tire comprises a supply of elastomeric sheet material of a predetermined length and having spaced apart first and second end portions. A plurality of parallel extending reinforcing members are contained in the elastomeric sheet material of which adjacent reinforcing members are spaced apart a substantially equal first distance. An embosser for elastically deforming the first and second end portions of the elastomeric sheet material increases the distance between the adjacent reinforcing members in each of the first and second end portions to a second distance greater than the first distance. A drum is provided to receive the elastomeric sheet material with the first and second end portions overlapped. A mold is provided to bond together the first and second end portions of the elastomeric material in the overlapped portion under heated pressure to form a joint. At least one reinforcing member in the first end portion is located between a pair of radially extending planes containing a respective one of a pair of adjacent reinforcing members in the second end portion.
