摘要: Disclosed herein are compositions and methods of mitigating scale in phosphoric acid and ammonium phosphate plants. Scale-mitigating compositions of the invention can be added to phosphoric acid before or during the concentration in the evaporator cycle of a phosphoric acid plant. The compositions retard the formation of scale on surfaces in contact with the phosphoric acid, and thus time between cleaning is extended and plant productivity increased. Further, the scale that forms is softer and more easily cleaned from surfaces, reducing non-operation time of the plant and/or evaporator. Methods of mitigating scale formation in phosphoric acid production and phosphoric acid handling plants are disclosed. In the methods, scales accumulate more slowly and are softer, more tractable, and more easily cleaned from surfaces to which they adhere.

摘要: A system and method of generating steam from a emulsion stream produced from a reservoir via thermal recovery. The system includes a heat exchanger for adjusting the emulsion to a first temperature; at least one separation device for separating water from the emulsion at the first temperature to obtain produced water; and a high pressure evaporator for receiving the produced water at the first temperature and generating steam using the produced water. Also, an evaporator includes a vapor drum; a heating element in fluid communication with the vapor drum, said heating element receiving the water stream; a heating source for vaporizing the water stream for generating steam; and a bubble generator for generating bubbles and injecting generated bubbles into the heating element.

摘要: A desalination system that can comprise an inlet, an optional preheating stage, multiple evaporation chambers and optional demisters, product condensers, a waste outlet, one or more product outlets, a nested configuration that facilitates heat transfer and recovery and a control system. The control system can permit operation of the purification system continuously with minimal user intervention or cleaning. The desalination system can operate with any number of pre-treatment methods for descaling, and with degassing systems to eliminate or reduce hydrocarbons and dissolved gases. The system is capable of removing, from a contaminated water sample, a plurality of contaminant types including microbiological contaminants, radiological contaminants, metals, and salts.

摘要: An evaporation-condensation system and methods of manufacturing and using the same are disclosed. The system may include a condensation surface having one or more wipers and a gas diffusion apparatus. The one or more wipers may be configured to move over the condensation surface to displace one or more of fouling material and condensed material that may be present on the condensation surface. The gas diffusion apparatus may include one or more anti-gas blades positioned substantially parallel to the condensation surface and one or more gas storage areas. The gas diffusion apparatus may be configured to guide an amount of vapor molecules towards the condensation surface and promote condensation of the vapor molecules by rotating the one or more anti-gas blades around a central axis and displacing an amount of non-condensable gas into the one or more gas storage areas.

摘要: An apparatus, system and method to remove purified vapor from a contaminated fluid. This apparatus may be a modified heat exchanger. The apparatus comprises an inlet wherein contaminated fluid flows in the apparatus through the inlet; at least two outlets wherein a first outlet exits purified vapor and a second outlet wherein contaminated fluid with a portion removed as purified vapor exits the apparatus; an energy source that causes the contaminated fluid to heat to a temperature wherein at least a portion of the contaminated fluid is converted to purified vapor; at least two different flow paths from at least one inlet to the first outlet and second outlet, the first and second flow paths flow through at least a portion of the apparatus wherein differences causes the lighter purified vapor to take a different path than the heavier contaminated with the purified vapor exiting the first outlet and the contaminated fluid exiting the second outlet. Herein also disclosed is a heat exchange system. Such a system comprises the apparatus described herein. Herein also described is a process that utilizes the apparatus disclosed herein. Such a process comprises the separation of a vapor volatile component from a non-volatile component in a mixture. In some cases, the non volatile component comprises a salt or a sugar and the volatile component comprises water.

The system includes a control system for controlling a fluid vapor distillation apparatus including a blow down controller for controlling a blow down valve, a source flow controller for controlling a source flow valve, and a blow down level sensor in communication with a blow down controller and a source flow controller, the blow down level sensor sends signals related to the blow down level to the blow down controller and the source flow controller indicative of the blow down level, wherein the source flow controller actuates the source flow valve based at least on the blow down level sensor signals, and wherein the blow down controller actuates the blow down valve based at least on the blow down level sensor signals, whereby the blow down level and the source flow level are maintained using the blow down level sensor signals as input.
