摘要： An aqueous adhesive composition includes: a phenol/aldehyde resin and an unsaturated elastomer latex. The phenol/aldehyde resin is based on: an aromatic polyaldehyde bearing at least two aldehyde functional groups and including at least one aromatic nucleus; and a polyphenol including at least one aromatic nucleus. If there is just one aromatic nucleus, the nucleus bears two or three hydroxyl functional groups in a meta position with respect to each other or with respect to one another, with a remainder of the nucleus being unsubstituted. If there are plural aromatic nuclei, at least two of the nuclei each bear two or three hydroxyl functional groups in the meta position with respect to each other or with respect to one another, with two positions ortho to at least one of these hydroxyl functional groups being unsubstituted. The adhesive composition is useable to adhere a textile material to a crosslinkable rubber composition.

摘要： An aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive composition of the invention comprises a rubber-based latex and a tackifier resin emulsion, wherein the tackifier resin emulsion is that obtained by emulsifying a tackifier resin in the presence of an emulsifier containing an ammonium salt of rosins; and the aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive composition contains a water-soluble salt of casein as protective colloid. The aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is excellent in mechanical stability and insulating characteristics and has good moisture-proof adhesive strength.

摘要： The present invention provides a binder composition comprising a first binder comprising by dry weight based on total dry weight of the first binder, from 5% to 98% of polymer particles, from 0.3% to 10% of a first polysaccharide, from 0.01% to 5% of a crosslinker, from 0.3% to 6% of a water-soluble metal cation, and from 0.05% to 3% of a cationic polyelectrolyte. The binder composition may further comprise a second binder comprising by dry weight based on total dry weight of the second binder, from 0.3% to 20% of the first polysaccharide, from 0.5% to 20% of a second polysaccharide. And in that case, the wet weight ratio of the first binder to the second binder is from 1:20 to 20:1. The present invention further provides a paint formulation comprising the binder composition.
